Mar 25, 2008Magistrate posted a message on Diablo 3 News WatchTypically doesn't it take developers 2 or 3 years to release a game after they make an official announcement? I really doubt you'd get to play it within a year.Posted in: News

JK, I'm sure it is amazing, they don't make crappy games. I just don't like World of Warcrap because it completely over shadows the greatness of better games....cough.... Just because it gets more attention patch-wise/ hack reduction-wise, and has somewhat better graphics. -

Silly, you're going to need to get a PS3 for the next FF installment ^^

Yeah, even thought it would be tedious, it would be neat to have to do things like eat and stuff. Something I wished they would have incorporated in to Oblivion (without having to get it for your PC so you could download personal made patches), althought I think it would counter-act the fast-paced gameplay of the game. Maybe somehow they could implement like a more realistic version and then just the basic hack n' slash version, like Ladder/Nonladder/Softcore/Hardcore kind of thing, if you get my point, for those of us who really want to be immersed in the game and then for those of us who just want to blast baddies (and people...lol...)
And I absolutely love that avatar Zubin, a beautiful color.

It would absolutely suck for casters, and everyone for that matter. There would no longer be rushes, no longer be fast levelling games, nothing. No one would ever make a caster again. I agree with what some other people have said, that teleporting should be reserved for only casting classes. Makes more sense, anyway.
(Off topic, lol.)
About this no CD thing. If I click on Diablo on my desktop, and then quickly remove the CD while it's reading the disk, it will give me the error warning twice, and then from there it will run like normal, without the CD, on closed and me being able to shift between acts using WPs. A curious thing

Yeah, skill books are a major thing that I miss from DI. And the way you describe activating them is interesting

World of Delaying-Doing-Anything-About-What-Thousands(Maybe Millions?)-of-Blizzard-Fans-Have-Been-Waiting-for-Years-While-Already-Having-New-Games-Out-for-Every-Other-Universe, or as I like to call it: WODDAAWTOBFHBWFYWAHNGOFEOU. Rolls right off the tongue.

Profound. Kudos for Atrumentis
And this just goes to show you how much the "developer" they interviewed knew about the storyline... (is he the dev they promised?)

There are tons of amazing Barbs that can beat the shit out of any character.

Sorry if this is off topic, but I think the idea was to contrast the evil of the forces of Sauron with those of Gondor, and wasn't it described that way in the books, anyway? Or are you talking about the Black Gate episode?
Oh, wait, I just realized what I think you mean. Do you mean you don't want the cathedral to look all white and shiny like Minas Tirith? Because in that regard I completely agree (although I don't think I was disagreeing with anything in the first place. Agh, confused xD ); since the cathedral was corrupted in Diablo I, it definitely should havea very, very dark cast to it. And while I'm on it, I wish the cathedral in the Monastary in Diablo II had those red-glassed candle light that is so prevelent in most original Catholic cathedrals. I always found it eerily fascinating.

To make the best of any gothic architecture they'd put in III, they'd definitely need a First Person view, or some way of really looking up in to the sky and such, because for me, the ceilings of cathedrals that seem to stretch to the heavens themselves are what give me a sense of awe. Think of that, being able to see the pinnacles of the Chaos Sanctuary or the original cathedral, or the Monastary

x Monsters/Characters bear absolutely no resemblence to WC/WoW creatures at all. Period.
x Casting characters should be able to equip robes and stuff like in Diablo I. Makes more sense to me having a frail wizard like a Necromancer, whose all emaciated anyway, as wearing a robe rather than a 200 lb. set of Kraken Shell armor. In place of high defense, it could have resists or FCR or mana.
x A more gothic feel, like the original :*(
x And adding to what FBIM said, maybe enough spaces in a game for 2 of every character class?
x Shape shifters should be able to copy any monster in the game (except bosses) and use their skills.
x To what wizz already said: Maybe theres a ton fo levels of Hell, and as you go deeper, the monsters get unbelievably hard, and the "Uber" type monsters are all at the bottom levels instead of in random Pandemonium Events. (Of course, I wouldn't want this to turn in to a kind of just go and kill thing, it would still have to be diverse, likes its own world.)
x There should be doors that require keys, not just chests. This would make Teleport a little more valuable as a skill, if you don't have keys, as well as making keys more useful.
x If they still use the Keys (Pandemonium Event for Ubers), then you should have to use the keys in a real door, lol.
