Im running a slight variation of the Fire'Rasha Twister that is pretty much BASED on the twister-damage.

    http://www.diablofans.com/builds/72383-s5-hc-firerasha-twister-69gr-solo

Ive completed gr69 solo on hardcore with it.

I agree there could be alot of changes to the build, but you would need to press more buttons :-P

This build is not about how many twisters you have (like the other builds with the twister sword)
It's about hitting enemies with that twister, so that they all take 15% increased damage debuff.

If you read the description of the fire twister, then you see that "Enemies hit by the twister take increased damage from fire" - Which means it will increase the damage of disintegrate, as well as the fire damage over time debuff from the firebird set.

I can't watch the video due to country restrictions (music ftw). From the description it looks like it plays similar to the Tal Rasha Vaccum build I use, am I right? Your build seems like a decent alternative if you only have Firebirds and a few of the core items.

I edited the youtube video so that you are able to view it now, sorry.. tony hawk's pro skater music is banned in germany as it turns out, because the vocals aren't sung in german.

Correct, it is very similar to the meteor tal rasha build. But the firebird 6 set made this build possible. Every enemy you are currently hitting with disintegrate increases your damage, and that is why you need the vacuum, which can be achieved fast and more often than that necklace does... but we need the travelers pledge in that slot anyway so that is no option.

I suggest swapping out magefist with firebird, then put etched sigil in hand, making room for the twister sword and deathwish in hand/cube.

    Not sure about survivability though.

The twister sword may be a logical effect you want to have, but the tornado damage is way too low to try and boost it. The purpose of the tornado is the +15% increase of ALL fire damage on the enemies it hits

Could be fun with a proper working Firebirds-set. The pull effect says "lesser enemies" which probably means no bosses and rift guardians. Does it pull normal blue or yellow elites?

    #cryrebirds

Currently, only normal enemies are pulled in, but i'm using a Sun Keeper ancient at the moment, elites are dead faster than normal enemies which is great :D

The damage reduction stacks per stack of the explosive blast buff, for a total of 60% damage reduction, not 15% damage reduction.

thank you for clarifying, i didn't realize

Gzeth, why no Explosive blast, honestly ? Well, you get 20% increased damage and 15% 60% damage reduction from explosive blast when at full stacks, for 6 seconds, if you can keep it up until the next group of enemies.

With this build, you have magefist for +20% fire damage, and +15% damage to enemies with the twister, and you can. not. miss. that. That's a 35% PASSIVE fire damage increase! As soon as I cast desintegrate, the enemies are already afflicted by the twister, and when enemies are being pulled into the twister, their attacks interrupted by the insane pull rate, and even if they do hit you, they get frozen. Fun times.

I see some other builds including meteors, but I think that the primary focus should remain on the firebird DoT by stacking as much fire damage % as possible. I've tried using meteors but that won't beat the 20% extra fire damage from magefist for example, and it's just way too crowded on screen to see anything at all.

    Hello !

I've mainly played wizard up until now and it felt like I finally needed to contribute to the community with a build that I think, has some potential. Forget explosive blast and black hole, fire twister will bring this season to a new twist!

These are the best things coming from this build:

    • Energy twister is cast automatically each second, and increases your damage by 15% on enemies that are hit by it, and it never misses, so it is basically a passive +15% fire damage increase.
    • You pull in enemies 30 yards into your Energy Twister every second, which is also where you have your desintegrate currently pointed at!
    • Playable solo or in groups.

    Tested on T10.

The goal of this topic here is to collect some feedback and I would really appreiciate it if a high end player would try it out.

The playstyle is close combat and continuous desintegrate, teleporting from point to point, pulling enemies where you need them every second. Because you pull in enemies every second, it's super easy to crowd control.

The reason why I made the build is because I didn't like Explosive Blast nor Black Hole because the mobs won't get pulled fast enough and the stacks from Explosive blast are hard to keep. Also, I didn't feel like playing archon again because it just isn't good for playing with friends, and it's like playing a steam engine, once you come to a lack of enemies or die, you have to start building stacks again.

Will upload a video on that build soon.
