I think it looks great, man! I also have a dream to make truly hardcore and fun rogue-like hacnk'n'slash RPG. Let me know what people you need. Designers. programmers, etc

Right now I'm the only developer. My expertise is programming, I could use anyone really that has a talent and would like to help out. I'm also willing to help teach along the way. I'm not a good graphic artist so If we can find one that is good with 3D Modeling and Meshes this project will happen for sure.
We still also got testing, the story, balancing and item creation etc.
Dark_Sol what are you good at? And also what do you enjoy doing when it comes to game development?
Also itaborai, thanks I wanted to try and recreate the dark atmosphere some people are saying its to dark. I know in the game its a bit lighter than the vids.

I don't have any talents in development but I would love to help you test and give detail feedback on gameplay bugs etc. I don't want to play it just to play it but would like to help you in your development and I can help with the lore. I have played the DIablo universe since the original and many other ARPGs.

Just from what I see of the videos I believe the level of darkness if just fine especially with the lighting effects of the spells adding to the area. Gives your spells more meaning as they aren't just there to slay hordes of zombies but also used as a utility to show what's around you. Imagine your fighting 4 zombies and you cast a fireball and that fireball briefly lights the area upon explosion as it does now giving you the knowledge that another two zombies are just beyond this group slowly walking towards the battle. It adds a whole other effect to the immersion.

I will have to look into that. I was using primarily slow time + spectral blades. My attack speed was nuts, but I missed the range capabilities. Wizard just felt too squishy to be getting into the middle of Elites. Again, this is probably causes I screwed that build up one way or another. Well, you live and learn. Thanks again for the advice.

Wizard relies heavily on the ring called Halo of Aralyes (I think I spelled that correctly) in combo with Ice Armor: Crystallize for survivability. In both Solo and Group DMO specs.

Makes sense. My reasoning for mix matching them was A) I can still call down elemental meteors B ) Etched Sigil uses resource spenders every second without spending resource, which procs the Tal Rasha bonus C) I was still able to get the 2nd bonus from the Firebird set which was the 3000% Burn. In theory, I thought it sounded awesome. I guess in practice, not so much. I tried the DMO, but just not a fan of melee wizards. No offense to those that use them, I just sort of enjoy the ranged elemental hell with the wizard. I guess I will try a full Firebird set. Thanks for the reply

The 4pc from Firebirds is worded weird. You have to read it. The burn affect doesn't apply until you have done 3000% weapon damage to the mob. Even then it doesn't increase your damage without the 6pc, it simply means they won't STOP burning but the rate of death will have no noticeable difference. Also, the 2pc from Tals is decent on low torments but drops off rather quickly without the 6pc and/or Nilfurs boots to augment it's damage.
At the moment DMO is the top spec both for group and solo play unless you are speed farming. The farming build consists of 6pc Tals with 4pc Firebirds. Look that the top build for wizards right now listed here on dfans. It's called a Flash Fire Wizard. Relies heavily on a Wand of Woh but definatly the first build you should aim for IMO due to once you get all of the pieces, your farming rate will triple and you will be able to farm your DMO build quicker by clearing rifts faster, getting shards faster, gambling for pants, and converting set items (the extra pants) into the remaining set items that you don't have using your cube.

You have two different sets but only have the 2 pc bonus from each. A lot of the damage of end game builds revolve around the set bonuses from teh 6pc which on average nets you a 2000% net gain to damage (on the specific skills). Most sets are set like this 2pc) utility 4pc) toughness modifications 6pc) raw damage output

I'll use the two set's you have as an example

Firebird's 2 pc is giving you utility through a free cheat death

Tal's 2pc is giving you utility with a meteor proc with an 8 sec internal cooldown per element

Firebird's is one of the few sets that differ when it comes to the 4pc as it doesn't add toughness but inturn adds more utility mixed with damage. I say utility as it directly affects the raw damage upgrade from the 6pc. Firebird 4pc adds a dot on each target you have done 3000% weapon damage to that doesn't disappear until they die.

Tals's 4pc gives you resistance to each element that you have gain a stack of up to a max of 4 (Arcane, Lightning, Cold, Fire) with an 8 sec duration

Firebird's 6pc takes the dot from the 4pc and gives you 25% damage increase PER MOB that is burning as well as when you apply your 4pc to an Elite, you gain a 600% damage increase.

Tal's 6pc gives you a 500% damage increase per stack of each element. Same mechanic as the 4pc but for damage not toughness.

As you can see, missing the set bonuses is a huge deal. Not to mention other complimentary legendary items that work with the build like Nilfur Boots for Tals that increase your meteors damage by up to 300% (You can see where that is nice to stack on top of the 2000% increase from your 6pc).

    Lower your resolutions?

What's the problems with the REND? It's your graphic card?

The lag from Helltooth and Rend have nothing to do with resolution/graphics cards. It's actual lag not FPS drops.

With paragon I have about 1700 LoH. And honestly, I am still working out if the LoH is worth it or not. What I do know is that when meteor hits large packs I most of the time hit full HP from maybe half HP. I still haven't put the testing in to see if I am just getting multiple HP Orbs since i am in melee range or if it is my LoH.

The belt was awful. So bad that I ended up Brimstoning it and I don't remember the stats haha. Thanks for the response. I also meant to put in that you can also change out Familiar out with Magic Weapon with the Force weapon if you would rather the extra DPS over the extra chance at freezing.

    Hey guys,

I, like so many others, played a CM Wiz for the higher difficulties Pre-2.0 patch. I also, like so many others, have been rocking the Electrocute/Frozen Orb build post-2.0 patch. After all it is just so good!! Recently though on my grind to my goal of paragon 200 before RoS drops, I have become bored with my 2 button rotation. So, while taking advantage of the broken servers last night (once you actually got in a game you didn't leave until you were completely done killing as much as you can!) I started playing around with other builds. I finally made myself drop those three buffs that I only hit once every game. Instead I started focusing on trying to "support" my bud who was in the game with me. The following result is "Cold Death"!

Un-buffed I have 179k DMG and 825k Toughness so my gear isn't great and this build clears T4 no problem. Just don't stand in crap on the ground really long and your good! It's not a full perma-freeze like CM was but it does have a decent up-time on the Freezes and who knows, maybe with more AS it might get very close! I will work on getting a video up for you guys soon!

Please feel free to leave any comments, nasty or not, on the build. I personally love it but there might be changes that could be made that could make it better that I just don't see!

Edit: Here's a video with a quick display of the build. It's not alot of detail and I will go more in depth later. This is just so you can see it in action.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Up8QNC_VA5s&feature=youtu.be
