Imo the paragon system is flawed and the fact at a certain point the only real power gain comes from putting points into your mainstat.. If I remember right they said something along the lines when diablo3 was in development? about options and not an illusion of options and putting points in stats was never really an option as you would only gimp yourself by doing it "wrong" where is diablo3 headed as we speak?
For me diablo should be about killing endless amounts of monsters/champions/elites/rares and bosses and search for that rare piece of whatever to increase power. But clearly the community didn't want the best of the best to be super rare and therefore the game has become about gearing up in a matter of hours and then just kill for xp, forget the loot, bosses, materials. Just kill for xp.. This is pathetic in every way I can Imagine and this is what slowly kills my interest in the game as the power gain is only an illusion as numbers only goes higher and higher across the board.
I really really hope they will come up with some kind of solution to this if another expansion gets released.. and make diablo what it is all about.. Kill monsters and collect items rather than xp points.
I've cleared Grift 49 this season with a kridershot phys build and immolation arrow combined with MfD mortal enemy for the stupidly OP regain you get from it.
I believe its more of a personal choice whenever to go for the slow firing and slower playstyle that 2handed xbows offers or the more offensive playstyle that kridershot offers.
I really dislike the 2handed xbows even though the numbers are higher..
I have played "ping pong" for a long time now.. And since patch it just seems so much stronger.. Everything melts on T5... T6 is doable but not worth it for me atm. (Certain affixes on elites equals deaths on T6)
However I really want to try something Different. I just don't have the luck to find any akkhan items or good weapons..

Last monday as in 1 week ago I leveled my dh to lvl 70... Today I found my 8th piece of marauder and on top of that I also found 2 piece of nats and 1 of the shadow whatever its called set. All this in around 48 hours of playtime.. I have barely seen any blackthorns since I decided to try demonhunter.. I don't know about all this with weighted loot Cause I certainly haven't felt it on my demonhunter at all...
That's the strange phenomenon called RNG, which isn't that strange really.
I know What I mean is after countless hours and keeping track of all drops its quite easy to see that my loot is more spread out when playing demonhunter rather than when playing crusader.
As crusader 50%!!!! of all loot I find are 1 and 2handed axes, maces, swords and flails
When playing demonhunter 50% of my drops are nowehere only bows, xbows or 1handed xbows.
To sum it up... Finding less weapons equals finding more of everything else. Rng or not.

Played wizzard in classic and continued for 150 hours in RoS. Now my wizzard is only used for maltheal kills when friends lvl a new class....
Currently I'm playing Crusader and when I get annoyed by not finding any set pieces I switch to my recently lvl'ed demonhunter for some fast paced bounty hunting in all 5 acts. Just to mix things up a bit.
In my honest opinion Its sad everything boils down to efficency.. The question should be more like.. where do YOU personally find it the most FUN to play.
I play on T5 or T6 solo with my crusader.. Is it fast? No not really.. do I find a lot of stuff? yes.. over a long streak I average 1.5 legs pr rift. For me its well worth the time..
I have collected 105 legendaries and 63 forgotten souls
A total of 168 items
Drop rates for legendaries is currently 62.5% and forgotten souls 37.5%
12 rifts didn't give any legendaries or forgotten souls which means that 11% of the time I have set foot in a rift I have NOT found anything and in 89% of the time in rifts I have atleast aquirred either a legendary item or a forgotten soul.
Im not sure why ppl would play to get better gear, but don't want to take on harder content.. Personally I get bored so fast when I can run around and face tank everything and oneshot everything.. It makes no sense.. Build a stronger and stronger character to do what then?

Instead I play a tanky wizzard with arcane torrents + the 4set tals and 4 set asheare set and 3 set aughilds bonusses and the smoldering core..
This build wrecks anything on torment 4 and with some minor changes I can also do torment 5
But really there's so much more to wizzards than just mindless orb spamming.
