2 Reason I don't see that happening.
August Issue is released in July. I highly doubt they will announce it on PC gamer before Blizzard does. It could have more info, like confirmatin etc though.
Main reason:
Last BlizzCon, WoW BC was the main reason for BlizzCon. There were discussions, more info, more about gameplay etc.
This year, I think BlizzCon is focused on Starcraft 2. The WorldWide Invitation, only released SO LITTLE about Starcraft 2, it gives us an impression that Blizzard isn't far down the road for SC2. There will be more furthur details for SC2, with more gameplay etc. BUT Diablo 3 is still highly in contention.

But they're president/lead designer etc. are all gone. In total over 30 people and left. And theres only 40 people making SC2. 30 people is quite a bit.

Most of Blizzard North is dead. Some are still there, so the game could be a lot more different than the Diablo we're used to.

Blizzard is apparently suppose to announce 2 new games this year.
Blizzard is working on 3 unannounced projects (one being SC2)
Blizzard has been working on a "Blizzard North type of game" since 2003
It may be released b4 SC2. Since SC2 wont be released for a good year or two.

They're not going to split it into 2 games and talk about 2.
I highly dout it.
But we all know blizzard is currently making 3 games right now, so Im 99% sure D3 is one of them.

That expansion pack was BC from last year.
