We should be starting to see some really leading things from Blizzard in about 2 weeks if we're going to get an announcement. I am positive that if they aren't going to do a countdown then they will surely announce a forthcoming announcement.
My bet is either Friday the 20th or Monday the 23rd of June.

May 21, 2008Shere_Khaan posted a message on Blizzcon 2008 AnnouncedThis is the hype that was sorely lacking from previous years. It certainly seems more promising, but we all remember when they had Diablo 3 up on the background of E3 2005. What a let down that was.Posted in: News

If you beg that your life is in danger if they don't announce it, maybe they will pity you and make some passing comment?
Worth a try... -

They celebrated Diablo but not doing anything and making us feel like we're in some kind of Blizzard hell. There are 47 more wow expansions to go before Diablo 3. -

According to this press release Feb '06 they had more than 6 million.

With an announcement for SC2 I do bet a larger number of people may have bought copies to revisit the game with all the hype and excitement for number 2.
Quote from "Siaynoq" »This seems to be a fundamental flaw with the gameplay of WoW. Does it even have much to offer the casual gamer?
It does, all the single and group content is quite fun, it just leaves you knowing there is more and bigger enemies that you can't fight or even see. -

Don't be surprised if they get on the intercom at 8pm tomorrow and say "Everyone meet xxxxx, we have a very special announcement". Just like Apple did with the iPhone, and starved customers of the product until hundreds of thousands of people were ready to take out loans and get one on release day.
Maybe, but I think that is less likely than they would pre-hype the D3 announcement like they did with SC2. -

I remember seeing the Diablo I engine (prototype version of the game) on a Video game tv show about a year before it was released, I was hooked, Got the game first day it was for sale, and beat it in a matter of hours of non-stop play. =)
Beat that. Ha
I spent two weeks savouring my first playing experience of Diablo which means I got more fun out of it. -

Because they already know.

Rumours are just that. If they were "true" they would be facts.
What is real is all the evidence that points to some sadistic Blizzard employees taunting the Diablo fanbase.

Well, as far as the timing goes Blizzard gave out beta keys (well committed to people they would get them) to Burning Crusade up to a year before the start of closed beta. It could well be an unannounced game if it is announced at Blizzcon and not an MMO with a greatly increased production time.

I guess since WoW is on the verge of being a billion dollar a year enterprise in itself, who wouldn't consider a Diablo MMO?

Well the connection is very strong. Pluto being the Roman equivalent to Hades, so we're definitely taking diablo here and the third planet being Hydra has the obvious connection to Diablo 3.
Is it merely the obvious connection or does this go much deeper?

That is quite funny. I don't know of one single company EVER that said enough money is enough
Best case Blizzard will do what SOE did and bundle all their online games together so you pay one fee and access everything. I can't see them ever making it free again given the trend in fee for service online gaming.

(first post, hiyas, etc etc...)
Hit this link:
http://www.diablo3.com.au
This is the australian Diablo 3 site that links you to the blizzard site. In australia it is harder to get internet sites that are .com.au; you actually have to justify the name with a business name etc.
So, blizzard have bought the diablo3 site in AUstralia AND redirected it to their homepage.
Now ain't that interesting
