Dec 19, 2008we have a huge snowstorm today. It started at 5 AM and is predicted to last till 4 PM. It's basically a white out right now and has been like that for a few hours now. Obviously we have a snow day and we are gonna get about a foot of snow out side, maybe more.Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)
Dec 18, 2008southeastern michigan sucks too. Almost everyone at school has spun out or crashed their cars due to ice. Two of my friends slid into a ditch when trying to make a turn.Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)
Dec 18, 2008So my last shop became a bust after a while and i got tired of doing photoshop. However, now i have found time to start again. I am officially opening my second signature shop. I will be accepting requests now.Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)
1. Avatar or Signature
2. Size (max is 150 px tall and 600 wide)
3. Picture or subject matter - this is for ones from scratch (I require a picture, as i found out last time finding pictures took longer than actually making the art)
4. Words - what do you want it to say specifically other than your name
5. Style (choose from the following styles)
1. cartoonish/stick people (i don't know how to describe it) - look at my avatar for an example
2. picture editing -
(ignore the tan corners)
3. words - look at my signature
4. 3d rendering (this is still kind of sketchy on how i would do this but this some of my practice -
(again, i am still sketchy with this so don't be expecting a lot with the 3d renders)
Dec 17, 2008yeah but i don't see that being a big problem. Yes diablo is an easy game to learn how to play but old Diablo players already have an advantage of not needing to really learn much. Plus even in diablo 2, the noobs stuck out like a sore thumb. They were just not as good, a lot could not make it through hell. There is a blatant skill difference that is apparent when playing. I'm sure that D3 will be easy to learn how to play but it will be difficult to figure out which skill runes are best on which skills and which skills are best combined as they are putting an emphasis on multiple skills. So in a sense they are getting rid of manual stats and "dumbing down" the game but they are also making it more complicated as they increase all of the skill tree possiblities.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Dec 17, 2008I just need something to keep me busy, ive been focusing on drawing lately and have been doing too much cartoonish stuff, i gotta get back to actually photoshop and rendering. However, this time it won't be so much of a uh... clusterfuck (for lack of a better word) im gonna put requirements for requests instead of people just thrusting stuff onto me.Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)
Dec 17, 2008Posted in: Diablo III General DiscussionQuote from "Equinox" »Make points worth arguing.
and stop being a filthy hypocrite, your argument is basically i think pvm is worthless and pvp is the only point to diablo 2. Because i think this it must be true and the absolute opinion. How is that logical?

May 4, 2007Posted in: NewsQuote from "Drake-" »they have a subdivision in korea...
But, I've went to the so-called Blizz-Korea website and it is nothing like the blizzard.com that I go to. There is an intro video and everything. From blizzard.com I can't see Blizzard making a website with an intro video. It seems to unprofessional for Blizzard. Unless you give me proof, I will not believe that this is an official Blizzard website and not a fan-based website.
May 3, 2007Posted in: NewsQuote from "Doppelganger" »It just doesnt work like that, if it did then why would Blizzard be so big and have so many games in development? (they said they have 5 titles in mind).
What Blizzard is going for is as many gamers possible and they cant do that with WoW alone.
You think Blizzard is just waiting to make a game or release it cause WoW is doing good? Thats just naive because time is pressure even for Blizzard (it doesnt look that way cause Blizzard is extremely secretive), they need to think about releasing there games when there done that are currently in development and they cant afford to not announce there games soon.
If they have ambitions to interest people in buying there games (even WoW) then they need to make some BIG announcements soon.
It doesnt matter for WoW if one of does BIG announcements is D3 because the more people who are interested in Blizzard the more people that will buy there games.
Its really just simple marketing and sure we know Blizzard is a quality company from games like Diablo and Starcraft but the more people that know this the more people who are going to be interested in WoW.
I fully agree. If they didn't release the game because of WoW's success, the expansions would not be coming out every year or so.
Still, it doesn't matter. You guys can speculate and speculate but still wont be able to come to any conclusion. We just have to wait 16 more days until we can find out for sure.
May 3, 2007Posted in: NewsQuote from "fwdd" »personally, I highly doubt it is a new Diablo game. I'd love it if it was, but I don't think it is a new Diablo.
Diablo has always been a RPG. WoW is a RPG. If they make a new Diablo game, it will mean that Blizzard has two rivaling games, both aiming for somewhat the same kind of people.
But it would be smart to have rivaling games as Blizzard would get two different groups of gamers to play possibly doubling their money.
May 2, 2007I too think it will be SC2 at WWI and if it is D3 I will shit my pants from excitement and surprise. However, I still just have to wait till may 19th to know if I'm gonna need a new pair of pants (as well as undies).Posted in: News
BTW, I found that the information I posted was about the BlizzCon supposed to happen the year Blizz North closed (this site http://www.rpgcodex.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=9145) My bad guys, should have looked a little closer into the info I posted. SRY.
May 2, 2007Posted in: NewsQuote from "vadle" »That information was from last year. August 29th, 2006 at 2:33 pm
Anything NEW would be greatly appreciated
I understand that this was from last year, but i doubt that BlizzCon wasn't planned ahead of time. Therefore, this statement of a demo at BlizzCon shows that they must have been planning the release of D3 for several months, if not a year. Al I'm saying is that Blizzard isn't stupid, they've been strategically planning their game announcements to both drive gamers crazy and raise the most money possible in the quickest way possible. (Wow that was long-winded)
May 2, 2007Another quote from Blizzard confirms multiple games in the works thread:Posted in: News
When asked by GameSpot if the Warcraft universe was all that's left for the company to mine, chief operating officer Paul Sams said, "No. Absolutely not. We have multiple games in development, currently, they are just not announced… To the outside world--and the reality of it is--we are laser focused on what is the thing right then, but there's a ton of additional focus being put toward these other [games] that are in development."
Though i may (alright, am) stating the obvious, people shouldn't get disappointed if SC2 is announced in Korea and not D3 as Blizzard has clearly pointed out that they have more than one project going on unrelated to WoW (*sigh of relief). There is plenty of hope for D3 if it is not announced in May. My top post shows that D3 is definitely(DEFINITELY) not dead.
May 2, 2007Here is a direct quote from http://www.maxfreak.com/diablo3/archives/diablo-3-vs-wow/#comment-9281Posted in: News
It is another diablo3 site.
"Diablo 3 takes place in heaven. Hell is trying to take it over and it is AWESOME looking … Imagine the brightness of heaven being taken over by the darkness of hell … Imagine WoW but in a Diablo world in amount of size and playability … Also, guild housing is available in this game for those of you who know about it. They should have a gameplay demo to show at BlizzCon."
Apparently, according to this former Blizzard employee, Blizzard should be showing a D3 demo at BlizzCon. Now whether they will announce the game at BlizzCon or in Korea, I do not know. However the logical conclusion I made was D3= Blizzcon, SC2 = Korea. I am a die-hard D3 fan but I must state that May 19th is StarCraft 2. Sorry.
PS. All you Starcraft fans, find your own forums. You're biased half-assed statements are clogging OUR news forums.
