Well, for me at least, normally that is less of a problem - I would be at about the end when killing the guardian.

In general, it really depends. If I am in the mood (and the map is full of elites), I will keep killing. If I have some time constraint, I will leave.

I see your point. I was just trying to say that without showing the actual number, it would make people thinking twice before replacing items - instead of the straight forward larger number is good.

I am also not exactly certain if such improvement on quality of life justify the cost/time/resource that it would take at this point of time.

    I have a question!

Let me get this straight. I haven't really played for a few days due to homework, but from what I get from it all is the problem people are having is that 2Handers have significantly less Sheet DPS than 1H + OH or DW. But they gain an increase per hit which can sometimes equate to better shots for certain skills? The bug is that they were rolling 1H damage stats? or that the + damage stat was/is lower than expected?

Second question, why does the DPS seem to NOT factor in the Elemental or physical + Damage affix when calculating DPS. The one someone showed earlier seemed to almost DOUBLE its damage when you factored in the Elemental damage it had on it.

Third question, would a change in the way skills show damage be warranted to fix this problem that people are having with 2Handers? and by Change how they show damage I mean instead of saying Frozen Orb does 450% damage( Made up number don't know the exact) it should say Frozen Orb deals 111002-150000 Damage? Would this allow players to more clearly see the change a 2Hander could do to help them?
I've ALWAYS hoped that they would go this route; Show the actual damage range on skills. They can still show the weapon % dmg sure, but having both would be best.

However, I see an instant problem they would run into; Skills that don't just damage once. It's going to be a tad cluttered to convert say cluster arrows, which has a base attack, then has little grenades that pop out. But It's still do-able. I've never really liked the "deals 200% weapon damage" way they went about it. I'd rather see "Deals 320k-560k damage".
I partially agree with you. But if I understand correctly, this will make the process to "one build rules all" much much faster, and that is not something the devs really want. If you can see the number directly, it probably wouldn't take much time to figure quickly what skills are the best. I mean, D2 shows numbers (for Soc anyway), and it doesn't take too much wit to figure out what the best combination of skills are. Now in D3, with all these funky numbers, and hidden numbers, it is far less clear what the best path is. That is my take on the topic.

I don't think that it has been hotfixed yet - since yesterday when I killed Diablo, it did not drop a leg.

posted a message on 2.0 finally here. What are your impressions thus far?
Hi all! While I am new as a member, I am a long time lurker here.

I would like to share a bit on some of my thoughts on the new patch after a few days of playing. Do notice that I am playing Wizard as a main, which is considered to be the new "barb" apparently :P. Though I do play other classes, still. Also, my experience are limited to T1~T3 only.

    1. I found that there is a larger discrepancy between elites and white mobs when increasing the torment level. It seems that white mobs are relatively the same - a few clicks and you can wipe them out. But the elites, man, these guys are tough. Which brought to my second point.

    2. The dance between me and elites is far far more interesting - it requires a lot of instant analysis of the situation, and quick decision making. I remember many fights when I misjudge the situation, and use my teleportation too early, and get heavily punished by it. I am not sure if it is only me - but I feel that old affixes pale in front of the new ones? It seems better dancing in a "disco party" than being hit by, oh, I don't know, the posion enchant.

    3. As for legendary, most of mine comes from white trash. I would say 30% from elite, 50% from white, and 20% of them I am not so sure.

    4. I feel that people transiting the best are those being a bit flexible (both in their gear and mind set). For instance, my brother mained a tank barb. It has a very specific role in the party, and he is doing pretty well at it. However, it seems to be really really hard for him to transit out of that situation - he found some really nice legendaries, but without complete over haul, he could really use the legendaries.

    5. I think I would get burned alive by saying this. I understand that for some people, it is really hard to switch their gears since they already fine tune their gears. But I wonder if some of the "I don't get any upgrades" are people refusing to see pass the sheet dps. For instance, affixes with +X% won't show up on your sheet dps, but if one align skills correctly, it is a dps boost (since it is multiply instead of addition, it is in general more than X% of damage boosting)! I understand that it is probably harder for classes other than wz to insta switch skills since some good skills would tied to certain elements. Or reduce resource cost - it in effect increases your total "spending resource time" - which is a damage boost, too. And reduce cooldown time would also increase your edps by hitting more often. I could even imagine some semi-perma-WotB build.
