So, I've been playin' beta for a bit now, and have really realised that the lack of a chat lobby detracts from my gameplay experience. Though the game is not a MMO, in D2 the chat lobby gave the feel of a huge community that you were a part of. I feel extremely isolated without the ability to converse with randos outside of an actual game. Anyone else feel the same? Are they planning on putting in global chat lobby at some point?

Woot got mine. Yeah with the mass invites doesn't show many people on in game. That's sorta odd.

The argument between WoW and SWTOR is old and boring, but I'll chime in real fast. If you like Star Wars, and play MMOs I don't see how you couldn't like this game.

I have been playing for like 3 days almost non-stop now (cept for work lol) and it's just a great game. Visually pleasing, mechanically smooth. Space combat is very entertaining, and there seems to be a good bit of content to go through (im only level 20, which has taken quite some time, and ive seen very little of the game so far).

I do believe I will be playing SWTOR for quite some time to come. I've already cancelled the WoW subscription, and I don't see myself ever going back there. If D3 is enough of a game for me to give my full game time to, then so be it, but while im playing an MMO, it will almost certainly be SWTOR over WoW.

Or they could calculate it based on how much MF you had when the monster hit an arbitrary percentage of health. Meaning you dont know if the MF would be calculated at 95% health or 32% and it differs for each monster kill and is kept from the player. That would mean that there is not real way of telling when you should switch gear sets, and the MF factor would still only have to be calculated once.

What's the difference between polishing and making changes that effect core game play elements? Those 2 statements seem to be being used interchangeably and they are polar opposites in my mind.

1. Whether or not it was a letdown is subjective, you can't tell me I wasn't expecting something different.
2. That was rhetorical, implying that everyone knew that the cinematic was coming, and it was hyped up for nothing
3. I'm not sure what to say to this, yeah... it's telling a story, just like almost all cinematics do. And it did it with a way sweeter video than this one did.
4. Calling me a child makes you sound extremely, well... immature. You took the time to half-ass pick apart my feelings on the video, and then ran out of cheap stabs by the 4^th subjective point I made. Good work.

I'll be honest and say that I was pretty schwasty when I watched the cinematic last night, and posted my original "letdown" feelings. Having re-watched it now at least mostly sober, here are my feelings.

1. Still a letdown
2. Was that really the reveal that Blizz was talking about?
3. Not as good as any of the WoW cinematics, and nowhere near as good as the black soulstone.
4. What a letdown...

Letdown, is all I have to say.

I, for one, don't give a crap if the game caters to casual players. In fact, I've had a lot more fun playing WoW since they made it a bit easier.

If I want hardcore competitive gameplay that makes me swear loud enough that my wife yells at me, I'll play BF3.

Im not really seeing anything that says their going to host a live stream.

Anyone know of any streaming sites that will be featuring the VGAs live on Saturday?
