Then again, they did add a lot of new item affixes, like Cooldown Reduction, Reduced Resource Costs, %Chance to inflict Bleed of %Weapon Damage over time, lots more common skill specific damage buffs, +%Damage to Physical/Cold/Fire/Arcane Skills, things like that.
And very often, those things aren't reflected in your damage or toughness ratings in your details sheet, so it's not like adding Reduced Resource Cost by 4% raises your damage by 5.43% and it's a clear-cut upgrade. A lot of those types of things, you have to kinda play with and experiment with to see if you like them or not.
Seems to be a big theme in the updates...the devs encouraging players to find playstyles they like, as opposed to playstyles they feel obligated to use because "efficiency."
I'm really kind of loving the new way to play. I'm kinda tired of math based details. No matter what this game will always have it, but it is kinda nice to drift away from number crunching. Makes it a bit more fun imo.
Main will stay wizard, but in due time I also want to gear up my monk and try the crusader. Mainly just so that I can switch to whatever class is needed for best group composition, but if given the choice I'll probably spend 90% of time on my wizard.
DH, WD, barb are classes that will rot on my roster, I'll get them to 70 and throw crap gear at them but I'm quite certain I won't play either of them a lot.
Yeah I'm not too fond of the barb (maybe with the new changes I will be?). DH..I mean maybe, I haven't really kept with many classes other than wizard/monk/crusader. I'll prob do the same thing as you.
I'm a bit torn. I used to Teleport a lot in D2, and it oftentimes felt a bit like cheating when you could just Teleport through walls and stuff. But in D3, and at least the last time I tested it on the beta, Teleport seems to be only a small movement boost every 15 seconds, very much like Teleport in WoW. Obviously, they don't want wizards to be teleporting like sorceresses in D2, but with all the movement speed enhancements the other classes are getting I feel we're kinda just getting the worst of them all. On the other hand I can understand that they want to do everything to prevent an Enigma-like situation again...
So yeah, I only use it together with Wormhole and I feel like it needs some work, yes. But I can't imagine they'll work on that in the foreseeable future...
TBH I miss the fact that we could do that. I wish it'd cost like 12AP per cast (Something like that?). I miss flying around and throwing spells out like in old D2. I was really hoping they would've changed it to something of the sort (I know it can be a little OP). Teleport is still buggy but it is better from what it was. Whatever's though I'm just glad they got elemental loving, it was so needed.
Ya im downloading 13gig patch right now too .. . weee hoooooo and I'm off work today
Right now for me its "Reconfiguring game files". Says it has to be done in order to play again. 15-60mins. Also lucky you..I have to go work in the hospital for 5 hours T-T.
I would ditch hydra. IT's one of my least favorite spells :(. I would do something else like maybe teleport, or a slow time. However, I'm always willing to try this build out because it does look fun :D.
I just couldn't remember which ones were ROS enabled :X. I've been scrolling through diablofan news. Thought it would be easier asking :). Thanks guys.
Also to finder, yeah I know it's just a tweet, but they've done that plenty of times before, even with their other games (WoW).
