These are great suggestions. I agree too, it needs just...a little bit more. Less arcane IMO. I love the thunderstorm/ash cloud :)

I like the new boa system. I hate the ah and I hated the old trading system anyway. It wasn't like diablo 2. to be honest I don't think I traded but once cause I didn't want to use the forums. it should've been available all in game.

also do you guys think the developers would buy into his sort of gameplay? This could be a huge patch to freshen up the game after 6-8months on top of constant new legendaries.

end game content for ros! If this game wants to keep surviving, we do need some sort of competition! We need to show off our new amazing builds, our fantastic new legendaries! Right now we just play to find loot then what? What are we aiming for once we are able to do torment 6 (if that is your goal)? It's hard to show off your current gear to the population. Clans helped this area but did not fix it..

    Game pvepvp modes:
    • Survival of the fittest: teams of 2 or four players per team that goes against three other teams for a total of four teams competing in one game. (Randomized teams are available if you do choose). this game is a nonstop fight to your teams death. You will die! Start out with easy monsters and build up quickly to harder monsters eventually to a boss and then multiple bosses. Maybe a -25% stun reduction (includes anything that impairs) to prevent stacking of certain classes to allow the game to be more fair. Or simply no stuns work.
    • Race to the finish: this game has randomized amount of levels/size of maps and you kill your way to the top with your team. The one who reaches wins! These maps can have any monster and any amount of monster density. even two diablos! there will be a lot of killing in order to even get through some of the areas of the map. You can teleport and you can try to run through but good luck with all the monster/boss spawns. The whole team needs to reach the end not just one character. Maybe no duplicate of classes or no more than two of the same class.
    • Killing spree: kill all and everything the fastest. This consist of ten levels each level being more difficult with spawning of bosses. (Can we get the old prime evils to join the Frey?) andariel, mephisto, duriel, Baal, etc make a comeback in these game modes.no limitations in this mode.
    • capture the flag: kill the most monsters in the flag zones to take control of the area. Bosses spawn to help level out the field. (Need more nought into this mode)
    • each mode is affected by the torment gauge. So you can choose the mode that best suits your team. More tokens awarded per torment level.

    Rewards:

    • Leaderboard(s) that shows off the winning teams. Two leader boards! One for a team of two vs 4 groups and team of four against four groups.
    • dungeon tokens that build up over time to purchase special transmog gear, pets, vanity items, random legendary (absolutely no choice of what kind to make it fair), and trade in tokens for xp so once you get all the above your tokens are not wasted.
    • experience will still be given for monster kills.
    • chance of legendary drops still.

I really want these modes to get chaotic with the encounters from bosses on top of the general monsters around. One thing I do miss a lot about diablo two is the chaos it seems to have.

just some ideas I was thinking about. Thoughts?
pvp will never make it into this game. I don't want my skills or gear or dps nerfed in pve. So forget about regular pvp. Was also stated that regular pvp is not an option. So let's get something pvp based rather than nothing.

Pvp should never exist in this game...however pvepvp most definitely should. That way we can have op gear and damage and still be able to have competition. I don't want my pve to be nerfed or skills. So we just need to forget about regular pvp period. They also stated it won't happen but have thrown the idea around for pvepvp which could work with the current diablo game.

TBH I just go from act 1-to act 4. I also clear all quests/events/explore all areas. It's different, but I've been leveling quite quickly! I play on torment 5. I was level 120 when patch came out, now I'm level 160 I think.

Oops! I meant four! I'm such a bad wizard :(. However...I am more drawn to fire/ice/lightning more than arcane in general :). I never really cared for arcane in any sort of game. The three (fire/frost/lightning) reminds me of old D2 with my three sorc of different elements.
It's all good, dude, no sweat. I mean, I can tell by the changes they made to the Wizard that they definitely want to make the Wizard class a spiritual successor to the Sorceress, or else bare minimum, have the Wizard's skills pay some homage to her and make the magic styles appear to be from the same school.

What I love about D3, though, is that it'll be a lot easier to customize mixtures. From what I remember about D2, most Sorceresses, for example, had to specialize in one element. I almost always wanted to be at least a dual element, but it was really difficult to get endgame spreading your skill points out that far. But of course...if you specialize in only one element, especially in solo play, you'd hit a massive wall when you met WHITE MOBS with elemental immunities. But in D3, you'll be able to customize your elemental preferences how you like.

Although...and I could be wrong...but I felt like, in some small ways, elites on the PTR with specific elemental affixes felt like they had ever so slight elemental resistances. I can't remember if it was fighting Thunderstorm elites with my Lightning Monk, or Frozen elites with my Ice Wizard, but it felt like some attacks weren't as effective. Could just have been my imagination.
oh def. There was no such thing as dual trees. ONLY if you were to go for teleport and many MINOR spells, but never tons of skills in a different branch. That is nice in d3 I will say. I just miss teleporting and pew pewing. Also on d2 expansion you could get some item for your follower that pretty much makes things not immune to your school of magic, but it was very very pricy. I only had one, I couldnt afford another for other toons :(. I agree though, I think there is some natural resistance...which makes sense, but kinda sucks. (I felt the same).

With Paragon Levels being changed to be shared across all characters, leveling a Crusader for me is a no-brainer, just to add to my roster/party for more variety. I mean, XP and Paragon Levels wise, there's nothing hindering me from playing my other guys, so I'll likely take some time at some point to build my Crusader up to 70 in the expansion, but after that, I'll be free to switch things up on almost a daily basis.

As far as considering one or more my "main"...it started as a Wizard, but I allowed him to get corrupted by the Auction House, and started up a self-found Monk, which has gone great. I've since self-found my Wizard's gear and the stuff on all my other characters, so I've been tempted to revert back to my Wizard as my technical main...

Quote from Daloveshack » Staying with wizard. After I feel satisfied after gearing with the three elements, I'll prob start up my crusader/monk!
Three? You mean...fire, ice and lightning? So no love for Arcane? Arcane Wizard is likely the direction I'll go in. It's been my strongest and most comfortable element so far on the live game, and it's likely the direction I'll be continuing in the expansion. Unless I get some elemental specific gear, then who the hell knows. ;-) Though, I do think I'd like to do a Fire Wizard. That seems to be good and challenging considering Fire attacks don't offer much in the way of crowd control. So I'd need to gear in some ways to figure that out.

With far more options both in terms of cohesive build choices and personalization, any of my characters could feel like my favorite on any given week. So for now, I'm going to keep my mind open to as many possibilities as I can. Who knows when that next item might drop that causes me to rework an entire character's build and ends up becoming the most fun I've had playing this game since launch.

The three (fire/frost/lightning) reminds me of old D2 with my three sorc of different elements. Fireball sorc/lightning sorc/blizzard sorc ftw. Miss that PVP even if it was stupid unbalanced lol. I'm most likely going to go with FIRE! burrrn baby burn! I plan to make some kick ass builds when I get enough sets/legendarys that are mostly based with fire. I will do SOME lightning or maybe somehow a lightning/fire build. Lightning for the possible stun. I'm just pumped to start kicking out all these different builds tbh.
