Quote fromI am happy he is not being influenced to make Diblo 3 art more bland, as I really like the art direction that Blizzard has taken with the game.
Yea, so do I. I also really liked act2, and kinda wished there were a bit more sunlight in act1/3/5. (;
I completely understand act4 tho...that place is hell...

Now, it is up to you to see what happens next. (:

Monks are absolutely bad ass if you do them right, and as far as I'm concerned, nobody has done them right yet. With that being said, the RPGs that have "monks" in them, have no clue how to make a monk.
I'm guessing the monk in D3 will be the more creative and out-there idea you want. You just don't know it yet...

No fair, I have the same win 7 going and I have the problems.
I have not tried the virtual xp whatever. And none of the compatibilities worked...none whatsoever...
I have already beaten the game once again with my rogue, finding my beautiful windforce long war bow just before getting to diablo, so it was really fun, and no reason to try to fix it(without the "explorer.exe" fix) anymore. (:

As it is now, none of the compatibility options work for it, some make it not run at all(doesn't think the cd is in). Only option to get rid of graphical issues now is to turn off explorer.exe, which isn't really bad, but more of a moderate annoyance.:mad:

edit: back up now...I wonder what it was...

You know. One could say that the druid and hunter are the same class. Just with different styles? I mean, a lot of what they are known for is the same, except, the druid would be the more magical version, and the hunter, the more physical...
Just a quick thought of mine...

Synergies suck and we all(I wish) know it. Well, that's my firm belief anyways, The way they were implemented in D2, really screwed things up. Took away soo much diversity of the game. I mean, sure, you can make a sorc that uses meteor, frozen orb, and lightning, but, now, it's really weak...as opposed to previous 1.10(d day of d2). Sure, you can make a wolf druid that has a mighty hurricane around him at all times, but now... Sure, you can make a paladin that can swap auras, and switch between zeal, and fist of the heavens, but now... Sure, you can make an assassin with fire, and lightning traps... Sure, you can make a necro with bone spear, and summons... Get what I'm saying? Synergies took away more(a lot more) than they gave(very little, and look at the poor zons and barbs...).

I have a nice loong mental list of things they did wrong, so, here's just a small fraction of some stuff...
A lot of things rly. It was very team-oriented(even if u wanted to play solo, it was very hard to do so). Weapons and armor system is...bad... Everything is instanced... I like the instance based quests, but they should have added in some non-instanced based stuff as well. Way too little magical attributes for items that you can find. They still don't have all the core classes and races... etc...
If the team that worked on DDO knew what they were doing, and knew what people wanted, they could have made it into a game that could have outranked WOW, but, they failed miserably... Their key failing point was them trying to keep it as much like the pnp dnd as possible.
