Doesn't matter in the mind of the complainer.Quote from MolsterThis wasnt blizzard tho! It was all datamining!Quote from XIIIFiVe
Didnt think Blizzard would invest time doing shenanaginslike this when there are things that still needs to be optimized with the current live game. Waste of time.
Wow. Are you serious?
Sadly, yes. Whenever Blizzard does something fun people think that it takes away from balance/content/etc.

You'd probably be better off with lightning for T1-2, especially since you're playing hardcore and your survivability is better in the gear you have for that playstyle.

We were broken, and now we're where we are supposed to be. You are not supposed to be in able to farm high torment in bad gear, and that's what Shard of Hate allowed us to do. If your ability to do content hinges on ONE ITEM and the fixing of that item results in your being unable to do that content, something was wrong with both your class/spec and that item.
Shard of hate NEEDED a fix, and it got one. Nobody that ever had one, played with someone that had one, or watched someone with one, should be surprised at the fix. It's not trash, it's still a very strong item. WW spec is not trash. Your favorite streamers and Barbarian heroes who are now whining, for whom my respect is rapidly dwindling, they were WWing before they had Shards. The only thing that Shard did for them was allow them to do content far above their gear level, and now they have to learn how to play the class at the level it was intended again instead of getting carried by an obviously broken item.
The nerf is significant, but it doesn't make the item trash. If anything, wait a week or two and see if any more builds for Barbarians surface once the popular players stop sulking, experiment on your own, and truly if you find that we're not on even footing with other classes, then come up with buff suggestions. If the class is broken, ask for buffs for the class, provide useful feedback. Whining, petitioning, and protesting for something that was blatantly overpowered and bad for the health of the game in general is not constructive.
I'm still whirling, I'm still using SoH, and I'm playing the game at a level appropriate for my gear. It's a little strange turning the torment setting down a little, but it was equally strange for one item to boost me to being able to faceroll T6. Being able to kill a T6 boss with roughly as much effort as it takes the average person to kill a T1 champ pack is fun and all, but it's obviously not intended, and there is no point crying over it.

Despite the whines from people that I otherwise respect like Alkaizer, SoH will continue to be a strong item, it just won't be broken. If it was THE item for your class/build it's still going to be powerful and it's still going to be right up near the top. Just now you'll have options. Previously if your choice was a badly rolled SoH vs a perfectly rolled anything else, SoH would still win. Now you have choices. The fix is a good thing, for you and for the game as a whole. I like it, I had other items that I wanted to try but couldn't justify because SoH was so broken, now it's still a downgrade to try those items, but it's not a horrifically game altering downgrade because SoH will no longer be the most blatantly overpowered thing in the history of ARPGs.
And if you've never used a SoH and you think that this fix is just taking a strong item and making it weak, you're wrong. When I got a SoH I was able to jump in and obliterate things that I had no business fighting with my gear level at the time, because SoH was broken.

They're keeping with the theme they had going, which was a simple addition at each unlock. If you look at all of the borders from the first ones all the way up to the new ones, you'll see that there are very subtle additions to each with the most prominent change usually being a color change. They're already crowded, how much shit do you want crammed into that one little space?

No, it doesn't work that way. In fact you haven't given any examples that show that it MIGHT work that way. I've run so many bounties and I've seen nothing to indicate that it works that way. Some of the Act 2 bounties can be frustrating because you'll run around in a huge area for 10~ minutes before the game tells you "Nope, the objective is back near where you started!" *shrug* It happens. That doesn't mean that it wasn't there when I started and that they added it in after and no reason to think that this is the case.

Anyone quitting RoS over the "terrible droprates" obviously never played the base game. The drop rates are VASTLY improved, and the itemization is much better.

But yeah, I'm really happy with RoS. It has some minor issues that need polishing, but they seem to be on top of it. Communicating, making changes, the community team forwarding our concerns to the devs, etc. All good stuff.

It's cute, and I see it a lot of the time in the StarCraft community especially, people who are completely convinced that they can balance the game better than Blizzard can, that somehow Blizzard has survived all this time and made so many games that are considered Classics while at the same time being staffed entirely by simpletons.

What the forums are flooded with doesn't matter in the slightest. Lets just talk about classic Blizzard games for a moment. (D2/LoD, SC/BW, WarCraft 2/3/Frozen Throne/etc) If you were to take a look at those forums at the peak of the game's popularity, you'd see forums flooded with angry complaining customers as well. If you go to the League, Dota 2, WildStar, ESO, etc forums (Just listing really popular games off the top of my head.) you know what you'll find? Lots of extremely angry and unsatisfied people. Angry/Unsatisfied people post, happy/satisfied people post a lot less often.

And the people whining about enrage, really? Enrage serves no useful purpose in a game like this. It's not like bosses have a 100% chance of dropping something amazing, and even for a first/reset Malth kill where you get a guaranteed legendary it doesn't matter whether you do it on T1 or T6 or you could even do it on NORMAL if you're not picky. What's an enrage timer going to accomplish? What's it going to add to the fight?
This fight having an enrage timer would just make it annoying for creative and determined people like the OP. And dying to an enrage on Hardcore would probably be enough to make most sane people just stop playing. "Oh shit something has gone wrong this fight, I've compensated and stabilized but ah crap arbitrary enrage timer and now my HC character is dead."
Diablo didn't have an enrage timer either did she? When I did my Inferno clear I know that Ghom and Belial had very noticeable enrages, but not Diablo. Of course this was shortly after the game was released and Diablo was extremely buggy. When I came back for 2.0 I was glad to see that they had finally fixed her so that she didn't randomly go AFK and stand there doing nothing for half of the fight.
