    I really wouldn't go to high with base block %. 60% gives you 75% with punish and 100% with provoke hit me. With 15% passive 20% shield 11% helm 16% ring that's 62%. 77% punish 100% provoke. The damage difference between having punish up or not is noticeable as is now, the gap will just get bigger after patch.

    I lost 10% char sheet DPs going from mempo to rule for the 11% block and gained probably 1m on crits if not more

    #4... Can be tested with passives and active skills very easily. Iron skin with block rune, punish, 15% block passive, block on helm all add to character sheet block% which is what the skills actually use.

    For the block based shield bash builds it appears that the damage bonus modifier for block rating can exceed the supposed 75% cap that it says on our character sheets. I can combine skills to go to 100% block rating and notice an increase in damage from just 75%. Is the character sheet bugged saying it goes to 100% or can we just effectively not block more than 75%?

    This is also easily tested with Provoke Hit Me.

    I have basically been using this since I started playing but tend to use Iron skin with Reflective Skin instead of Akrat. At barely 8k thorns damage you can reflect for 6m crits when you get to around 14-16k thorns you reflect for 11-14m. Iron skin alone will melt most elite packs or rare spawns unless they run and hide or cast slowly.

    Even in groups with WD/Wizards mowing down things quickly I provide great group buffs via Judgement/Valor and great burst with Provoke/Ironskin(thorns) and spamming Shield Bash(Shattered Shield)

    I disagree with Holy Cross tho I feel like it misses too many mobs that it should be hitting. I can watch the animation go through mobs around me and see no numbers. Really flaky rune IMO. Armory for reference below.
