I do not have a list or confirmation, but from my play experience (as a wizard) you'll find elemental damage on gear. Such as Fire/ice/Poison/Arcane/Lightening skills dealing +15% damage. There are also spells that increase their damage, such affixes I found were + damage to Electrocute, Arcane Orb, Disintegrate, Blizzard, Hyrda, Spec Blade, Meteor, Familiar, and I'm most likely missing more. But i know all those affixes have dropped for me.
Thanks for the post BagStone. You mention good points in gearing your character. I think some people get confused and overwhelmed with the new items and affixes. It also might be hard for people to move away from the tri/quad feta items. The toughness attribute might be hard to interrupt as well.
I also agree with others that we might have to wait till RoS comes out to really see the full potential of the new loot system.
But side question, do you feel that you are playing more currently after the new patch came out?
Good discussion thus far. Slightly off topic, but I'm also wondering if YOU are playing more D3 now with the new patch, or less with the new patch. It dawned on me, before the new patch, I would grind and grind like there was no tomorrow. For whatever reason, my playtime has gone down with the new patch. Wondering if you guys are playing more now then before
I see threads on the official forums regarding if the new loot system is better than the old system. I personally think 2.0 is better for the simple reason of you being able to farm your own gear now, rather than shopping on the AH network. How does the dfans community think of the new 2.0 loot system compared to the old loot system?
Kinda humorous these threads. The skills have all changed, gears changed, and just how u build your character and play has changed. If anything, it won't be a bad idea to play around with skills and builds to see how everything is working together. Getting use to the new elite affixes, there are plenty of reasons to play. Instead of grinding g levels or trying to find an epic drop.
I think your argument is flawed for this primary reason: they already nerved half the runs you listed. They will continue to nerf areas. Not because of us, it's because the experience points given were not balanced and taken into account.
Ladders will come in a path down the road. No concrete information, but my gut tells me in a few months we will get ladders
Thank you for this thread, I was also wondering the same thing about crafting leg mats. I found the same mats you have, and cannot use them. I also found the legendary Griswold plans, but I can't teach the plan to the BS
Some quick thoughts, I feel I get a good amount of legs from chests. My last play session I found depth diggers, from a chest, and they were a big upgrade over my legacy innas.
I also like the skill+ changes. It makes items way more interesting and I personally feels like it gives you some options and choices on gearing and building. I also like the new elites. Some can be tough, but I still feel like it is fun. I just wish there were more mobs to lay to waste.
Great vid! I'm sure the community would love to see your takes on meteor and arcane orb as well. I personally would love to see an electric build myself
I wish I could post my ammy. The special affix is if you get hit by arcane beams, the beams heal you for 24% of the arcane damage. So if there is a disco party, just stand in the beams and you will always get healed.
