The way I understand it, MM-C puts a dot on the enemy that keeps building and refreshing itself. I have a +2 Mirrorball but I never notice scaling dot damage building on a long fight. Is it just me? that is how it works isnt it?
Ah, I gotcha. How then do people say that Conflag is the best choice as on long fights, the ticks keep growing until the end of the fight the procs are multi millions? Im missing something then because mine does not do that.
Because Nfin1te has no clue what he's talking about. Conflagrate does stack up the damage, and it keeps rolling - I have DoT ticks of +200M on high hp torment 6 bosses every second. Best way to test it is go and do t6 ghom, get him to about half hp (never stop hitting him, stutter step if you have to move but keep hitting), then completly stop attacking. See how the remaining ignite ticks down.
MM - Conflag does stack, however is does not stack with other sources of fire damage. MM - Conflag does stack with itself, however it can be tricky to see the stacking damage when spamming the ability because the dot damage and dot crit are shown as white damage while the actual on hit damage crits will be yellow.
Any other sources of fire damage will only refresh the stacks you have amassed.
I have see the white dot damage ticket for over 20M while the on hit damage usually hits for anywhere from 3-9M depending on your gear and how much +MM damage you have.
with a +2 Mirrorball you can stack 3 MM's at a time depending how you positing thus giving you 165% weapon dmg per cast over 3 sec.
