I have a fun time playing with 6tal/4del build, and we all know that if you equip the meteor boot, you won't be able to equip primus helm to gain the all rune effect of slow time, my question now is,
How is the damage of the meteors calculated ? Is it viable to give up the boot in order to use primus helm? Has anyone tested if the lost damage of the meteors be covered by all the rune effect of slow time? Hope I can receive some enlightment, thanks alot!
I have not tested the "Delrasha" (6p tal 4p del) build at all but from what i've heard, the slow time dot is your main damage source where it's amplified to i think 12k% dot instead of 2k% (not sure about the numbers atm) so a crown of primus for this build sounds promising - That's also what the delrasha wizards i saw were running.
I'd say just test it out. Run with both setups for a while and see what feels better for you. I think since the main damage source is the slow time dot, then having the utilities and buffs from all slow time runes is worth it. If meteors were your main damage source then getting max meteor damage would have been your number one priority.
ya, will do a testing after work today, hope fellow wizzys could give it a try too, then we can conclude whether it is useful or not. Thanks alot for the replies!
I know there are some people who only kill trash and don't worry about champions at all. In such case Helm could be better. However, most of the time, especially if you hate leaving champions unkilled, meteor boot would definitely be a great choice. Honestly unless you are playing melee wizard 3 out of 5 runes, for slow time skill, are practically useless. if you are not playing melee you will not enter the bubble so stretch time is useless, Exhaustion will only reduce ranged monsters damage since you are outside the bubble (and anybody should be able to evade projectiles that are flying at you with 80% reduced speed, especially since you will be kaiting around alot), and time shell? why do you need to slow down monsters even more when you are going to stun them for 3~6 seconds total with point of no return? So in the end, again if you are not melee wizard, its about do you want 15% more damage semi-permanently for all skills or do you want to double your meteor damage?
Following up on this topic, sad to say, DelRasha is fun, but comparing to damage-wise, nothing beats the 6 pcs Tal, Tasker + Hydra is way to good to be miss, be it with F/R rings or convention + Soj / unity, therefore, boots really is far superior comparing to primus.

run 6 piece tal and drop del. its so much better.
I think it's a good question. Can't tell you whats best. I would do some testing and get a feel and go with that.
