Okay so after the release of Wrath of the Lich King, Blizzard decided to release some kind of new gadgets for their new game, which we have seen in a lot of different games, but as you remember, each of them failed miserably. So now, Blizzard wanted to break the tradition to try to make a special "customized" mouse and keyboard that is specifically made for WoW.
Here is the announcement on the wall:
November 21, 2008 New Wrath of the Lich King Keyboard and Gaming Surfaces
Just in time for the journey to Northrend, SteelSeries is launching a new line of Wrath of the Lich King-themed peripherals: the new Zboard Limited Edition Gaming Keyboard, Qck Limited Edition Lich King Exclusive Gaming Surface, and 5C Limited Edition Frost Wyrm Exclusive Gaming Surface. All are made with high-quality materials and feature artwork from Wrath of the Lich King. Please visit SteelSeries.com for full details on each of their features and availability.
World of Warcraft Mouse Now Available
SteelSeries has just launched the World of Warcraft MMO Gaming Mouse, featuring 15 programmable buttons, ergonomic design, 16 million illumination options, and advanced macro creation capabilities. For full details, please visit www.steelseries.com; the mouse is now available in major gaming and electronics stores everywhere.
At first, as I looked at it, it seemed to be pretty cool, but the more I stare it, the more I realize that maybe Blizzard is going too far with these little gadgets and all these extras, since they are going to actually lose money making them than actually selling them. It's not really worth it in my opinion, since they usually know how much is costs to make a bunch of mouses and keyboards, and only getting 100 to sell or something.
I like the mouse kinda....the keyboard not so much.....And even tho I like the mouse id probably still only use the 2 main buttons and the wheel lol...I say it aint worth it....just blizz milking its franchise is all.
Keyboard probably not so much, I mean those ZBoards are pretty handy with their clear labellings of the buttons and such.
That mouse seems like overkill though.
you can swap out ZBoards. One for WOW, one for CS one for err Guild Wars. Kinda handy that.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.

That mouse is far from overkill!!! Now when tanking raid bosses I can just mash the buttons on my mouse once all the skils are keybound to those buttons....no more keyboard LOL.....seriously tho it is overkill

Normally, I would like to respond to this comment, but you lost me after 5 words. I am assuming that you like the mouse but don't like the keyboard, which I can find rather reasonable since it does let you do more things. But is it really worth a trip to the store and your own cash?
