Does anyone know where I can download the sound files for all the Diablo games? Someone had all the ones for Tyrael on fileplanet, so its not like its impossible to do. The files seemed to be like they were somehow taken out of the Diablo folder, not just recorded from in-game (but I could be wrong, I'm not sure).
Is there any way someone could upload all these sound clip files? Or find someone who has already done it? I'm sure I'm not the only one that would love to have them.
Specifically, I am looking for voices by:
Blood Raven
The Countess
Andariel
Succubi
Stygian Fury
Corrupted Rogues
& Succubi from Diablo I would be especially great too (they had better voices than in DII).
No, I don't want to listen to these sexy demoness voices so I can get off lol, I'm actually after them for artistic inspiration.
Edit: I may have found a solution using some sort of MPQ viewer to extract the raw files. If it works for me, I'll try and upload them for others to download... except, I'm on dialup speed atm, so I may wait two weeks to upload them when I get fast internet again.
If you get a MPQ editor, you can open the sound files of the game and export the sounds you want.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
I can open things from LoD, its just that they are all named 'unkown' (this version of the MPQ editor isn't updated enough). So yeha, finding things is the hard part. I'm trying to find the enemie speeches now, but its hard.
HOLY SHIT. Their voices are orgasmic! Especially Andariel's!! Oh my lord! I'll definitely upload these when I can. They are so much better to listen to loudly without all the other sounds in the way.
Yeh, my version does that too. LOD sound files show up as Unkown. Tried to find the one where the druid says "I hate snakes"

If my internet was faster, I would upload the few better ones. Otherwise, it'll be a lot faster for you if you do it yourself. Its easy, even I can do it, and I'm the kind of person who can't figure out how to get a CD crack to work lol.
I like it because it's said in a temple (claw viper) by someone of apparent gaelic descent.
Hmm. I hate snakes, a temple and a somewhat gaelic lineage. Where have I seen that before. paging Dr. Jones. Yeah that's right Henry "Indiana" Jones Jr.
I really wanna know what the Druids do with their dead if they don't bury them. What, hang them up in a tree?
They might burn the dead and sprinkle the ashes somewhere.

Hahaha, i find it amazing how you said sprinkle, maybe its just me. I kinda picture a few druids lighting a dead guy on fire and then just kinda pinch-sprinkling the ashes, on the ground. just now i pictured them sprinkling them on like cupcakes. . . yeah I'm messed up in the head. . nvm. . .

Thanks for the link to the MPQ editor...now I can listen to all the glorious speeches or Diablo.... Anyways, Atrumentis, you said you're using them for 'artistic inspiration'. Are you a fledgling voice actor or something? Or using them so you can map out an image of something you are going to paint or draw or something?
The voices inspire my creativity, and then my creativity manifests itself in the form of drawings. So no, I'm not a voice actor, I just love to draw :]
For instance, I have recently been listening to an unused sound clip for Izual in Diablo I that says "How much suffering, mortal, does it take before you lose your grace? Let me show you."
Now that is just awesome (it sounds really sinister). After listening to that, I was inspired to draw an image of Inarius shortly after being taken prisoner by Mephisto. I imagined Mephisto taunting Inarius with that line, but replacing 'mortal' with 'angel'. I thought it was fitting that Mephisto should say that to Inarius, as Mephisto is the one who made Inarius 'lose his grace' by grotesquely distorting his figure and forcing him to look upon himself, thereby torturing Inarius because he is so vain (so he hates being ugly, which he is).

"How will you find Cain if you do not go to Tristram?"
haha, the way she says that is so funny. I'll see if I can upload it.

Download this MPQ editor http://www.angelfire.com/sc/mpq/
I found it! Its in the d2xtalk.mpq file as number 52!
"Oh no.. snakes.. I hate snakes."
Edit: The Druid also says "Hmm, planting the dead? How odd".

I would also like to hear all the voices etc - how exactly does this work, and what version should I download?
