This is a preview, not the full list of changes.
At least wait for full release notes before complaining.
p.s. if your pets would be able to kill inferno mobs on their own the class would have been severely broken.
Definitely. I'm pretty sure they'll make changes to PtV because the mana requirement is too high. If they truly believe mana will go up as we do damage then hopefully PtV gets a fix as well, because 30% mana requirement for 20% damage is a lot. We will just have to find out with the new changes.
I like the changes. Pets may finally do what we expected them to and I never liked VQ anyway.
I do doubt however that this new mechanic is going to stay for long. In effect, it means a complete switch in pet survival mechanics from normal to inferno. In inferno, basically every hit they recieve will be capped.
Think about it: a lowly skelleton hits them just as hard as a Mallet Lord's big whammy attack.
Every other creature's HP pool works like a bank account: if the sum of all withdrawals equals your total, you die.
That of pets works like a Pac Man game. They have a fixed number of lives (dependend on the gear) and loose one with every hit.
This may feel weird enough to warrant another change soon.
