Demon Hunter - Inferno Diablo Build
RGDiablo3 posted one of his Inferno Diablo kills. Within this video he gives a lot of information about his strategy along with his current stats, gear and his build. You can also check out his thread here.
Legendary Buffs
It looks like the team is hard at work getting all the legendaries buffed. However as a reminder we will not be seeing the changes till after patch 1.0.3
Saw how #D3 Legendary buffs are coming along, and was pleasantly surprised by how much cooler/better/more interesting they're going to be. (Source)
When you say Legendaries will be buffed, does that include Set items or no?
Set items technically are Legendary items, they just have a set bonus. So, yes. (Source)
Don't tease me like that man!! And it's only for NEW drops, not old ones?
Correct. (Source)
is there any chance at all you we can get a quick/small/super tiny preview/basic idea of one? -puppy dog eyes-
Yeah but it'll be after 1.0.3, and something we'll want to coordinate as a global blog post (or similar). (Source)
Are they at least 20% cooler?
22.8% cooler! (Source)
To expand further, how is 1.0.3 coming along?
Quite well. Legendary changes won't be in 1.0.3, though. (Source)
More interesting eh? Do they have more non-standard stats or something?
You'll have to wait and see. (Source)
more $$$$ from sales!! Gotta feed that Activision cash cow!!
Yeah, I expect that to be the reaction for just about any change we make in the game now. Sad. (Source)
meaning shortly after information is released an outcry for legendaries to be nerfed. You will never please the unpleasable.

More Hotfixes
Blizzard has updated the hotflix list with a few new hotfixes.
As some of you may know, Riot Games recently announced that certain League of Legends player account information in European databases was compromised by an illegal and unauthorized intrusion into their network: http://eu.leagueofle...-security-alert
The data accessed included email addresses and encrypted account passwords, and they have determined that more than half of the passwords were simple enough to be at risk of easy cracking.
If you are a League of Legends player and happen to use the same password for your League of Legends account and your Battle.net account, we strongly encourage you to reset your Battle.net password at this time. To complete a password reset, go to Account Management > Settings > Change Password. You can also visit this page if you've forgotten or lost your Battle.net password: https://eu.battle.ne...word-reset.html
Additionally, if you used your Battle.net email address to sign up with League of Legends, you may also wish to update your Battle.net email address via Account Management as a general security precaution. To update your Battle.net email address, go to Account Management > Settings > Change Email Address.
If you are unable to update your password or email address and believe your account might be compromised, please contact our customer support staff by using the Account Recovery Form: https://eu.battle.ne...-recovery.html
For additional security tips and suggestions, be sure to check out the Account Security Awareness guide at http://eu.battle.net/en/security/
1.0.3 Still This Month still targeting June-ish for 1.0.3? No bad news on that front, I hope.
Still planning to hit this month, yes. (Source)
How Blizzard Does It
Space magic.
Well, that took an unexpected turn.
For people who are actually curious (and don't believe in space magic):
Is it just a lot of forum grinding and flagging as useful, or do you have some sort of systematically superior method that simply extrapolates useful critisism?
No methods. Mostly just madness.
It's typically a combination of:
Lots of reading. We try to review as many threads as we can (including each and every reply). We will frequently go back and re-read threads to make sure we haven't missed any critical feedback or reported issues.
More reading. We also keep an eye on other Diablo communities (Reddit, Diablo Fans, Twitter, etc) and look for feedback trends. If we're seeing a lot of discussion overlap, or frequently asked questions, we pay attention and will try to respond whenever possible. At the very least, we'll pass on the information to the development teams.
Personal game experience and knowledge. Understanding how the game works, of course, makes it easier to tell the difference between a post that's providing useful feedback and a post that's just there to let off steam. (We all need to vent sometimes.)
Practice. Most of us have been a part of the Blizzard forum community for years, and over time it just becomes second-nature. While you might see "whining" and "crying," we see players with legitimate concerns. It's all just a matter of perspective, I guess.
Temporal quantum-warp magic is better.
That's magicism!
So you're trying to say that each and every single person on here is being heard?
I said that we try to read as many posts as possible, not that we read them all. As you've pointed out, that's just not feasible. (We still give it our best shot, though.)
Also, please keep in mind that we may not be able to respond to a specific concern for a number of reasons. Sometimes we don't have any information to share, sometimes we're not in a position to comment, and sometimes we want to see how a discussion progresses on its own. Whenever we post in a thread, the conversation will inevitably change, and there are times when it's important that we don't get involved. Usually, when a thread gets a "blue post," it stops being a discussion between players and turns into a some sort of modified Q&A. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's not always the best way to get valuable feedback.
I did like that he mentioned reading reddit and twitter and not primarily focusing on the people who use their forums.
You're being awfully selective. Please re-read the first bullet point (here's a link to the post). Our primary focus is and always will be the official community site, but it'd be remiss of us to ignore other sources of feedback. The forums are one location among many where Diablo III players are talking. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)
Drop Rates
We have not made any recent changes to item drop rates *. We have not recently increased drop rates, we have not recently decreased drop rates -- in any difficulty level, for any class, at any item quality, etc.
If you or any other player happen to have tangible evidence of some kind of specific issue with drop rates, though, please post in the Bug Report forum so we can investigate. Again, we have not made any recent changes to item drop rates, which means if there is a discrepancy, there might be a bug that we are as of yet unaware of.
Kaivax's Awesome Post
It was truly amazing to see my name in the credits for Diablo III, but what really blew my mind was the slow realization that came over me, as the credits kept rolling and rolling, that I know these people. The developers and writers and testers... I know them. I like them all so much. I know Bashiok's first, middle, and last name. I know which of those PR reps is crazy about the San Diego Chargers. I ran into that Lead Designer at Specialty's the other day, ordering a sandwich. I complimented him on his personal blog. He said I'm probably the only person in the world who reads it.
I love Diablo III. I loved it when there were just a few hundred of us internally testing in the Spring. It was hard to see those characters of mine wiped out, but I immediately recreated them when the game went live on May 15. I've spent as much of my free time playing Diablo III as I could for the last month.
The Diablo series is the reason I'm here. Well, it's certainly large among the reasons I work here, the reason I'm so happy about gaming, and the reason I feel like an incredibly lucky gamer.
I can't think of anything I'd rather do professionally than try to share that joy with as many people as possible. Yes, that sometimes means taking disciplinary action on people in these forums. Some just want to be disruptive and mean. Some have really good ideas. Some have a take on things that we've not seen before. Some just want to be heard. Most want to share their experiences with the game, propose something, and see positive steps taken. I'm right there with them.
Every single time I suspend someone, I hope that they'll come back like you did, understanding that there is a gradient of what people do here. On one end, there is harassment and abuse of other posters, on the other end, there is respect and favorable discourse. Mind you, not wonderful "feelings" all the time. We can disagree in every way and still be respectful and positive.
I love Diablo III. Playing the game for the last month has reminded me of how it felt to immerse myself in other games that I've loved over the last 30 years. I hope that I'm fortunate enough to get to play Diablo III for many years to come. That's one of the ways that I'd define myself as prosperous. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

its digital so I would hope they make it up to date o.0 otherwise its really out of date as of 1.0.3 and then 1.1

I didn't watch the video so I'm not sure if he mentioned it, but people shouldn't be using this as a guide because they will not have the gear this guy has when they get to Diablo inferno (unless it's their 2nd+ char or they have money to spare) so I'm not sure what this is supposed to be good for.
If you have the gear you're supposed to be sporting when you're progressing Diablo Inferno you'll either need Vault or Rain of Vengance (with stun rune) or even both for the shadow phase. Otherwhise you don't stand a chance against your shadow clones (not including ridiculously lucky dodges).
Why are people so angry about this - You want the gear so badly - Go fart cash out of your butts and buy the BiS gear on AH.
I'm definately not being angry, I'm just pointing out that this should not be a guideline for anyone attempting to kill Diablo for their first time. You can't do the shadow phase with just SS unless, as mentioned, you're ridiculously lucky.
Why would I be angry if I have him down with my 38k dps
i had a fellow dh run me through inferno diablo, with pretty much the same build, frankly all of us dh's use damn near the EXACT same setup (dissapointing to say the least) and tbh, if you know where to stand and where NOT to stand, and you practice kiting, inferno diablo goes down pretty easily.
Oh wow a demon hunter build using hungering arrow, nether tentacles, smoke screen, and preparation havent seen that before. Molster a small request please stop posting this dude's builds... he has great equipment yes but all he uses are copycat builds... find someone using something neeeww.
