I'm confused I played d2 alot back in the day and I remember ethereal items not as "indestructible" items but items that had slightly better stats that were unrepairable, so when they broke that was it, you couldn't use it anymore. And I can't even remember coming across any "indestructible" items at all am I wrong?
P.S. damn runewords are sick
Yeah, the way they said it was weird. Ethereal items weren't "indestructible" at all, and you're right, they just had better stats and could not be repaired. The only way any item became indestructible was to put a Zod rune in the item. So, if you did happen to find a kickass ethereal item, and wanted to use it for a long time, you could throw that rune in it and you'd be set.
I'm guessing they worded things the way they did because it only really makes sense to put a Zod rune in an ethereal item anyway.
Tbh, I don't really like the animation of the runed meteor, maybe cause you don't really see a meteor per se, but just a AOE around the mouse click...just sayin.
Except the Indigo Rune of course, that one's baws!!
I think a weapon or armour that repairs itself slowly would be a rather cool idea. Like every 10 min it gets 1 point of durability back or something along those lines. With the artisans info coming out soon it could come with the finished rune system. Only time will tell.
Now if that meteor shower ain't OP I don't know what is.
It has a reasonably large area of effect and the individual meteors hit for less than the others. I'm sure it does the most damage if you manage to hit the target with all of them but considering they don't all fall at the same time and, again, the area is fairly large...it won't be that easy to do.
I see it as the best spell for clearing a large number of mobs. The molten impact rune will likely be better for single target.
Seems the mystic is not making runestones, the formula to make them have seem to have vanished.
yea artisans have been officially updated on the website. its awesome.
the only real need for the mystic to craft runestones was with the unatuned runestone system that is no longer in development. the old system you find 1 lvl 5 crimson rune and u can use it and swap it between any skill you want, therefor needing runes WAYYYY less.

Hey guys, what minor D3 news can we release to the public this week to try and get people to keep caring about the game?
Derrrr, let's talk about Runestones.....
Come on, hype machine! *kick* Work better, dammit!
These runestone effects weren't released by Blizzard. They were datamined from an emulated beta server by fans not affiliated with Blizzard.
But don't fail to see my point anyway. I hate all the, "We're changing this, we're revising this" news. Blizzard needs to go under the radar and just finish their damn game and stop making all these incremental updates to the public.
