Patch will never come out as the lazy asses that are working on it say they are but really aren't and laugh as they piss us off! Goddamn, that was a mouthful, BTW the reason the sentence didn't have punctuation is because it's supposed to be said all in one breath.

Power up some skill that useless,
Too many skill are good with only 1 point, and be stupid to put more in it.
Too many skill are useless no matter how you put point in it.
-static : euuuh it's the most powerful skill of the game unlock at level 6 ? add points in it and only the radius increase ?
-resists : you rarely need more resist...
-vigor : 1 point is just useful, more point in it is a waste of point except for synergies.
...
Firebolt vs Fireball
why firebolt have less damage when it doesn't make area damage ?
I'm so desperate when I analysis the balance and the logic of d2 !
I don't understand the logic of game designer ! maybe they just don't balance this part before release the game.
Sometime I don't understand how d2 was so polpular, when the game is so unbalanced.
Well, the problem with making early skills too powerful, is that they will be too powerful too early. Imagine if Firebolt was as good as Meteor at level 20? You'd just get Firebolt to level 20 at level 21.

it's ok !!! Firebolt lv20 must be equal or little less to meteor lv1 !!
So it is to you to wait meteor to bring it lv20 !!
The problem with firebolt is: it's too poor compare to fireball, fireball do area damage + do more damage. So except synergy, what is the reason to use and put point in firebolt ?
It is a synergy skill. A pretty dumb idea that Blizzard is getting rid of for D3 (confirmed).
Synergy is not a bad idea, just it's not correctly implemented.
Blizzard make synergies to balance skills and force players to put points in what they wouldn't put normally. Instead of rebalance skills, they put synergies. Well, the skills are doesn't balanced correctly anyway lol.
In d3, if skills are all useful, synergies will be useless.

Fire ball also requires more mana. I'm gonna post up some math stuff and we will figure out if firebolt is worth the investment or not.
Firebolt Vs. Fire Ball
Firebolt:_______Mana: 2.5 per shot
Fire Damage: 410-546______Average: 478 per shot
Fire Ball:_______Mana: 14.5 per shot
Fire Damage: 1641-1864____Average: 1752.5 per shot
Radius: 1 yard
Fire bolt does more damage per mana spent as it can do 2868 average damage for 15 mana over the 1752.5 average for 14.5 mana. It takes 6 casts to do this. Fireball has the advantage of radius however.
(These calculations are based on both skills being maxed and their synergies plus Fire Mastery is also maxed out. Synergies are each other and meteor.)
My conclusion is this: Firebolt for single enemies or groups up to about 5 monsters is sufficient. Fire Ball is for Groups of 4+ enemies, simply because of the radius.

I like to planed myself to optimize my skill points and the effects and damages that are made. To create multiples strategies. To have many choice of build.
I don't worry about what BLizzard will do ! I know they will find issue to have all skills useful and many kind of build.
You will still be able to optimize by spending points in the different skills. All synergies in D2 came from active skills that you never used, now they will come from passives. A skill that boost damage might get the best benefits from a passive that increases speed, and vice versa.
If it will be same as what you said, I'm extremly enjoy !
I don't wanna be a little crybaby here but I think that we can forget patch 1.13 this year ^_^. It's been almost 6 months since they announce it's release and we have been having little to no information. Most of the stuff we got was concerning discouraging fails in their plans and I don't think they will be able to fix it until next year. Perhaps I'm wrong but I'm taking an educated guess here :P!
I think I am of a similar mind, Psyxix : / We haven't even gotten any news on it in like two weeks. Or is it three? I lost count.
Which is ironic, because they promised increased work on it- I really don't understand how they can patch their other games in a month or two and it takes Diablo II months even when they say they don't have other preoccupations.
That's not the point we were trying to make turmobile... it's more about the time it took them since bashiok first announced the patch which is a lot for a patch.
It took 2 years to make Uncharted: among thieves, it's gonna take 8 months to make a patch for a 10 year old game ^_^! I don't know why but I think they're pushing it. My hopes, either they are getting close to completion or just stop right now and work on D3.
Meh : / I still see mint copies of the chest coming out every week at Walmart. I think it probably still does better than most average PC games. But yeah, it's ten years old... Dunno. I just can't wrap my head around the fact that modders, who probably have other life convictions and aren't paid, do amazing things beyond any patch so far in like a month, but the Legacy "Team" takes half a year to introduce one menial change that's already been done in countless mods.
Incredible! People are still waiting for the patch. I praise your mighty patience. The major changes they announced for the patch are really laughable though. Something about resolution(which they won't be able to change) and increased stash(which they still can't decide on) and some other crap.
I hope they come up with a great surprise...like a new character....or the patch suddenly is canceled and an expansion is released in its place. Haha...that would be great... What a nice dream...
