Rock on, Diablo Fans! I just placed an order for the Legendary Edition, which will only have a single limited production run. FYI, I'm pretty hyped about this.
I just ordered the Legendary version. Oh my god I can't wait to listen to the tracks in full. The samples on the site were just about enough to convince me to buy it.
Starcraft's "No Matter The Cost" is fantastic, as is The Eternal Conflict (Tristram theme song redux).
I'll be framing those art cards and hanging them on my wall in artsy fartsy fashion for sure.
I hate to sound like a non diablo fan, but is it really worth it?
The art I doubt is new (they aren't very big anyway), and I don't really care about watching people play music, I just want to listen to them. It doesn't say whats in the booklet either. And what is this 'Taking On Diablo' thing?
However, if it was something like a sword or some item of clothing or a book from Diablo, I would definitely get it.
The art probably isn't new, but it's printed onto high quality thick art material: perfect for framing up on the wall, and there's nine of them. I'll take these over a cheap poster or a printout any day of the week.
The 'taking on Diablo' thing seems to be an interview with Ko Otani about his Diablo composition and his take on the series and its music. Anyone who's enjoyed both Shadow of the Colossus and Diablo will probably want to check that out.
Anyway, you can just get the cheaper version with just the music in it.
Talking about the music is kind of interesting... but I'm not overly excited about it. If it was about the artwork, however, I probably would be excited.
But yeah, I think I'll just get the standard edition.

Any and everyone/everything that relates to Shadow of the Colossus in any way is surely to be made of win. That game is awesomeness incarnate just like Diablo.

It doesn't sound like there are many Diablo tracks on there. And only one new track from Diablo III. Weak sauce. Too much emphasis on packaging, not enough on content.
The Eternal Conflict sounds like it will be a fairly decent rendition of the Tristram theme. There's at least one noticeable omission near the beginning (in the sample-track, anyway -- if you listen you will hear it) but other than that, it's good to hear an orchestra tackle this one.
The DVD included in the Legacy Edition sounds interesting, so this may be a purchase, or a request for a birthday gift; though I do wish there was more Diablo content in this compilation.
It may be over priced but taht's why you ask for it for xmas and don't spend your own money on it I really just want the Art cards. Looks like there's a Diablo one and a barbarian one at least. Probably 3 from each game universe.

Though I suppose its only like a $20 difference.

Anyone else intrigued by the title for the Diablo 3 track: "Last Angel" ?? Wonder what thats about.
If we were able to choose I'd kill 'em.

I couldn't find a listing, anywhere, but I'm guessing the song-length will average around six minutes. (90 minutes total/15 tracks)
