Diablo III will never work as a PvP game unless the entire skill system and all loot is re-designed and balanced for PvP. I doubt Blizzard will hire a new team, just to re-design the entire game. Diablo II's PvP was fun, but it was only ever played by a VERY small group of players. Maybe like... 1 in every 1000 Diablo II players.
All of that aside, the skills do NOT work for PvP, no matter how hard you try to balance them. They have to be completely re-designed. I've messed around quite a bit with the Brawling, trying to find some play style that's fun. Even when the fights were quite balanced (4 players, first 20 kills wins), it didn't feel fun. Everything felt so generic, based on numbers and designed for mindless AI drones to wander into your attacks. Once your opponent thinks, 90% of your skills become useless.
You dont need ti hire an entire team. They just need to remove Paragon Points from the Brawling Area and add PvP Specific Sets, Weapons, Rings and etc. Thats all they need to do
