No 8 player mode please. From vanilla to RoS i lost like 40 FPS, because every top build is just spamming shit all over the screen (Wicked Wind dosnt come close to M6). Its too much stuff, aside from clarity even the amount of sound channels become something to worry about.
I have the same issue that's why I said one way they can alleviate this is to make everyone's skills transparent except yours. I really don't know if that will solve the FPS issue but if I can play Battlefield 4 with 64 players and shit blowing up all around me at a smooth 60fps I can't see why we can't have 8 or even 4 people without an fps drop. Maybe because we are fighting hundreds of mobs at the same time or something but again, that's why I proposed a separate game mode for 8 player games that instead of fighting huge hordes of things, it will have you fighting boss characters with certain requirements to defeat.
Ya that definitely makes sense that balancing 8 player games would be an issue. I was thinking entirely new game mode that can only be played with 7 other people. Something excruciatingly hard (just my taste, doesn't have to be) like fighting 4 Diablos in the fields of misery and they can only be hurt if they are all taking damage at the same time, if one is not getting damaged then they all don't (require splitting up and coordination). Or fighting a Siegbreaker that can eat you and effectively take you out of the battle until your team lands 200 critical hits and then stuns him (require team work to take down a giant). Or shit I don't know I'm only one person but this is a little dream I have for Diablo. Also they can make a stack limit or cool down on multiples of the same skill so as not to break the game. What do I know though
I know this is unlikely but I hope the next expansion introduces 2 new classes that use entirely different gems (e.g. like sapphire or moonstone). I also hope that one of the new classes is a Druid or something that similarly has a heavy focus on nature (uncorrupted). Also they introduce possible 8 player game modes. I've thought about how they would do this without exasperating the techno rave show that we already have and came up with a possible solution. Why don't the make everyone's skill effects(except yours) transparent like they already do with pets and and turrets in multiplayer? These are just hopes that have probably 99% of not happening.
Could that be the new expansion logo? This image was shared on the official diablo facebook page today and the game logo is way different than the one used in the previous facebook posts.
ooooo, good eye.
I'm tellin ya, skovos isles would make a fantastic environment, with an actual forest / light jungle / beach + ocean vibe, with of course old ruins spread about. Plus it could be the place that the Druids retreated too, because we all know Droods are da best and NEED to be in the next expansion!!1!
Anyone have a clue as where this image takes place? Background structures? Someone with Photoshop skills could possibly isolate them.
