You can still freely apply Evolution. It doesn't mean you won't be accepted.
It's just a general guideline for those who really don't enjoy playing in groups, or chatting with others. We just want to make use of the actual clan features, instead of just being a random bunch of people thrown together. We don't mind having a couple solo players though. It's just fine.
But make sure you do apply once the thread is up. Don't worry too much about these things, let us worry about it
Mind what Bagstone said about applications. They will not be on a first come, first served basis. Post it when you can.
Also, no need to post any messages requiring to be reinvited in this thread, as these won't be used (we want to focus everything on a single thread).
Third, some of the more active people on the past 2 weeks, that we've seen forming groups and chatting, have a very high chance of not being removed from the clan on the wipe. The intent is not to remove the players who have been using the clan, just the majority of inactive, isolated players who are not really using the clan for anything.
how active do you have to be ? lm on almost every day but l play self-find/solo play is my slot in the can gone now because l like solo play more then g-play ?
There's really 2 different questions there.
First "how active one has to be"? We're not going to limit the clan slots only to people who can play 100 hours/week. That is not the intent. We do have an idea of how active we think players need to be so that the clan doesn't feel "dead" most of the time. For example, someone that plays 1 hour every 2 weeks probably won't be very active and playing with other members, and if we have 100+ members like that, the clan would feel dead most of the time, right? So we're gonna try to have a good mix of players from different skill levels and different available play times, so that there's always a way for you to find a group.
The second question being "I mostly play solo... what will happen to me?" - this is a tricky one. After some internal discussion, we've come to the conclusion that, if someone plays 95%+ of their gaming sessions on their own (for whatever reason, because they prefer playing at their own pace, or follow their own farming path, or who needs to split their attention between farming and other things), and aren't really using the clan features to form groups or chat with others, then we are inclined to think this person would fit better in the DiabloFans Community, not in the clan.
We won't require that you're forming groups with the clan ALL THE TIME, that would be really stupid. Players sometimes wanna do their own thing, sometimes they want to play with other friends. But in general, the idea here is that we want the clan to be a great place for players to easily group up with others, even when their friends are not online. And we can't have that if 90% of the members are always farming on their own, can we? =|
Farming together is faster, benefits hugely from the Strenght in Numbers buff, allows people to trade legendaries, and is most of the time a more enjoyable experience that allows for some cool skill combos. So we really want clan members to make a conscient effort in playing coop with clanmates.
We hope to keep some of the more active members in. But even for people removed, they can just reapply and come back (or PM/whisper me in-game), so as long as you're active you shouldn't worry too much about it (because you'll be reassigned almost instantly).
The forum activity and registration is just a way for us to tie up the DiabloFans clan to the website, and have people show up here or have a place where they can put friends up to be recruited. It's also a way for us to control clan aplicationschronologically. That's the general idea, at least.
We're gonna have some rules up for the clan before the RoS launch. Probably on a pinned thread on GD. In-game clan activity and forum registration is probably going to be required.
Guys, right now the clan is at its member limit (150 players). We can't accept any further clan join requests as of now. I'm not sure what we're going to do now, splitting the clan (into multiple clans) doesn't sound like an awesome idea, but given the roster is so small we may be left without a choice.
Communities don't have the same tools that clans have, you can't join games as easily or quick check other players. They only offer a chat that makes it easy for people to get in touch.
Either way, right now it's a bit pointless trying to join the clan (on both US and EU afaik). Thought I'd give you a heads-up.
I apologize for any inconvenience (such as only a few of your friends managing to get in). Suggestions are welcome. And so is directed feedback at the developers to ask them to improve the Clan features/functionalities (so it's even easier to get in touch with people that have similar stats or farms on the same difficulty).
