That makes sense that it was an artistic representation, come to think of it, between diablo and diablo 2 there were alot of conflicting bits of info about the wanderer n stuff. Specifically in that one trailer now deemed noncanon where the wanderer drops the soulstone. Still tho, it seems so wierd that THE face of the Diablo 2 Product would be of a dude who doesnt really appear that way in the game.
At first i thought he was the Wanderer, but when you think about it, the wanderer never has a skull as a face. So who is this guy? He seems to have a crack in his forehead, which would imply that there was a soulstone jammed in it. So far there have been 3 dudes who walk around with the dark, hooded cloaks(The Wanderer, Possessed TalRasha, and the guy from Marius' dream).
Now considering how this hooded skeleton guy basically is the face of the Diablo 2 product -uh thing(He was on the box cover, the manuals, this forums little icon things, and the Diablo Novel Legacy of Blood(Which was hella BRUTAL btw)) he must have been important!
So is he the Wanderer in some wierd temporary phase of extreme corruption(or non canonical... is that a word?), or is he the resurrected body of prince Albrecht, or King Leoric, or is he just "that guy" who walks around doing nothing and is like "Hey, im that guy"?????
WHO IS HE?
