Either you choose to believe MedievalDragon or you don't.
MedievalDragon is not one to steer people in the wrong direction with false accusations and rumours, at least not from what I have seem of him. I choose to believe him. If he says he knows something or doesn't know something, or cannot say something, possibly due to a "gag order" or similiar restriction, then I believe that to be the case. And I am sure I will not be the only person to think thusly.
MedievalDragon chooses to post seldom, but when he does it is often of quality, specifically in terms of information. A quality he is well respected for.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Your thinking in realtime. You need to think in "Blizzard"time.
Delays to beef up anticipation/hype. rework stuff, fix bugs you missed but still not get them all.

Diablo is legendary for burning through mice. Leave it that way.
Such a change seems well beyond a patch. The seems like new game material.

Things that I would appreciate:
Redistribution of used skill points.
Higher resolution settings.
No CD.
Getting rid of bots.
A perminate stop to duping.
Things that would be awesome-but-probably-require-expac:
New character class.
New Quests/Act.

All things in due time. There really is no way to tell how long testing can take, Blizzard trys to make things as near to perfect as they can get, work out as many bugs as possible and such. I don't mind waiting a little longer.
At the very least it shows they are still interested in working with the older Diablo games. Seems strange to revive interest in a franchise for no reason, gotta be something huge diablo related coming out, D3? Diablo MMO, Diablo Prequel?

It will never end. As long as there is an area you level up fast in, people will repeat it.
Tirstram, Tombs, Durance of Hate, Chaos Sanctuary, Worldstonekeep.

That is because they keep bringing out more and more over-godly rune words.

1.10 I think brought in all that monsters from different acts. Apparently act 5 wasn't hard enough or something. Had to go and bring the Oblivion Knights back.

The mechanics are their for "agree to party", so why not Hostile.
THe number of times I've been killed by someone I didn't want to find, and I've sat there thinking, shit man, "agree to hostile" and I wouldn't have died, again.

1.11.2 makes no sense (at least to me it doesn't), it would be the fifth patch with a '1.11' in it, and the previous one, the fourth patch with a '1.11' in it was version D, D being the fourth letter of the alphabet hence the fifth would be version E.
1.11.1 is followed by 1.11.2, that would be the second.
I'm not a huge player of online SC so I don't know how the SC patches are numbers, nor am I an avid WOW player.
But hey that's just me, Blizzard can number their patches how ever the hell they want to.

1.11.2? Shouldn't it be 1.11E, being that the last one was 1.11D ?

Well people has started speculation on specific game content such as acts, items, and stuff. I have no knowledge of such things. But again, I do not know what other things the patch may contain. I don't know if there are bug fixes.
That would inevitably happen. But do let us all know when you find out something concrete won't you.

Medievaldragon mentioned it's bound to be a crowd pleaser.
That does not necessarily point to Belial or Azmodan, or some other powerful demon of lore. But I think it might have some sort of uber or lilith encounter with a huge demon. Belial and Azmodan seem too big to be simply added in a new patch, These are the two he banished the Prime evils to the mortal realm, these are the two who rallied the armies of the Burning Hells to fight the Prime Evils, these guys are total bad asses!! some little teleport to random location and fight them seems out of place. I want to go to their domain and end their lives, with the mutilated bodies of countless demons strewn about me, quiet tales of weak demons are foolish but a man who enters the bowels of hell and tears evil limb from limb now that's scary!
I have a feeling we shall see these two yet, just not in a patch for a previous game.

Being that both Belial and Azmodan, along with their armies are still in the Burning Hells, which we really only saw a part of in D2/LOD, I don't think they would be included in a patch, maybe some sort of Lilith encouter with a as yet un-named demon, but no, I don't think Belial and/or Azmodan will make an appearance in d2/LOD, d3 for sure though.

Throw in "agree to hostiling" for good measure.
