It was made by Sierra, though I'm not sure what the deal was exactly between Blizzard and Sierra for making the expansion. Here's some more information: http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/Hellfire
Damn. I was sure shift+click would work. I have memories of my warrior making that cool grunting noise over and over. Maybe I held down shift but had to keep clicking.
And I have no idea what the newest patch is for Hellfire, I've never actually played it. Remember too though that Hellfire isn't an official Blizzard product, so there may not be patches for it. I dunno, you'd have to look it up. Try the Phrozen Keep.
Yep, get straight into the expansion if you already have it.
Warrior's repair skill isn't as good as a professional blacksmith's, so yeah the consequence will always be that the total durability goes down, no matter your skill level (I don't think you can raise that skill anyway). Its only good for emergencies or for weapons you don't care about keeping for very long.
Aand you gain new spells by finding books in the dungeons (or buying them from Adria). So every character in Diablo I could potentially learn all the same spells, it just depends on what books you randomly find and if you have enough mana to support it. When you find two books of the same spell, that spell is upgraded a level. So of course there are some spells that are a must for all characters, but its really whatever you want to do.
Also remember that if you get stuck, I'm sure there is a way to start a new game with the same character, thereby refilling the dungeon with monsters again, hopefully getting a new scenario where you won't get stuck again. It also allows you to gain more experience and level up to get past the monsters you were stuck on.
