i liked:
-that the "stairs to town" stayed open upon going to new game
-The new area the crypt
-and the monsters found therein
-oils that improved damge/durability of items
-runes that worked like the assassins traps
-the cornerstone of the world, a way to trade items between Single player characters
-the amulet that allowed you to make 10,000 piles instead of 5000 piles.
-different difficulties (normal, Nightmare, Hell)
-apocalypse was a learnable spell (if you had 149 magic)
i hated:
-the hive
-and everything in it
-no multiplayer (sierra didnt have the rights to use Battle.net)
-the monsters in the new area the crypt were sometimes overpowering, esp. the liches. i enjoy a challenge but i dont like having my ass handed to me before i get a chance to get into the swing of things.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
i havent seen a copy of it in a store anywhere since i bought mine.
which is kinda stink, but the expansion was kinda iffy. it had somethings that were very good, and it had somethings that make you think WTF why did they put this crap in the game.

Devil kin brute is in the expansion. its just a big version of a devil kin. not sure about Incinerator. i dont have a copy of Hellfire any more.
I'd be just as interested to hear the sound files of the priest character.
well it says parts of that quest were not fully removed, so i think if you geta MPQ editor and open the main data file you should be able to hear the priest's soundfiles.

I like how Izual and Andariel were cut then appeared in D2, i like when companies do that, they cut something then it appear in the next game and/or expansion.
would have been nice to see the butcher cinematic, that guy was effing scary just in game. "hmmm fresh meat!!"
