Caliban- I'm on just about every day all day after school and well in to the night of EST. My account I'm normally on is XxHamsterxX if you need help or anything. Diablo II: LoD-speaking. Going to bed now, though. It's almost 1:00 A.M. on a school night
If you can't answer this, then don't, but I just have a question. I know you guys have these meetings from time to time, and I just want to know, is there anything happening soon? Kind of feels like dead space right now.
On another note, has anyone ever noticed that whenever we have one of those "guild revivals", we cut a bunch of people back to the barebones active members, but then never get any more?
Oh, okay. I thought it was just lack of care or something. Sorry I jumped to conclusions. I figured a lot of you were busy with real-life things, but I hadn't thought to that extent.
On another note: What are the odds of us ever getting a Eastern extension of SICK? I know right now people are saying the member base is too low, but in the future?
Okay, I know that I have a separate post above this that is mine, and this could be considered a double post, but I'm doing this so that you can see that they're distinctly different topics, and because that post is reasonably old.
I just have some questions which I will flesh out further down:
Why do I not see many fellow S.I.C.K. members on Battle.net?
Are there any plans on changing the name of the guild?
I'm sorry if this seems rude to any higher-ups, but I don't see any of you except for Ferret, Winston, and Caliban on Battle.net- this doesn't seem right to me.
Some disclaimers before I continue:
I realize that this guild is intended for Diablo III and as such activity probably won't change much until it's release and our members all have a copy.
I realize that this is a multi-game guild that supports WoW, Diablo I, Diablo II/Diablo II: LoD, and I *think* SC/SC: Broodwar.
I understand that many people by now in their lives probably have lives, and so constantly being on like they used to as teenagers isn't as easy.
Now in regards to each question:
1. Why do I not see many fellow S.I.C.K. members on Battle.net?
This disturbs me. Even though, yes, we support many games, wasn't the "first love" and the "birth" of this guild within Diablo? Shouldn't that be like, I don't know, a standard requirement? I do see some, namely Necronergal, Ferret, Caliban, Mjin Wraak, Num3n, Winston, Genesis, and Stormcat- but apparently we have 40-something members; I'd think I'd see more people than that on.
2. Are there any plans on changing the name of the guild?
This may seem more like a peeve, but in all seriousness, whenever anyone asks what S.I.C.K. stands for, they laugh, and for, I think, possibly good reason. It makes no reasonable sense! The focus was just a cool-sounding acronym, it seems, rather than a meaningful name. I do not mean to offend anyone that might have contributed to its creation, but to me it just seems, well, not right.
3. I'm sorry if this seems rude to any higher-ups, but I don't see any of you except for Ferret, Winston, and Caliban on Battle.net- this doesn't seem right to me.
This basically explains itself. I realize that many of you have lives outside this little fantasy world, but this is still a commitment. I realize a lot of you play WoW, which, though I am biased against the game, I can understand that everyone has a free will with how to spend his or her own time, but like I've said eariler, Diablo seems like a priority because of already said reasons.
Edit--
On a kind of ironic note- I've been seeing more non-members in our channel than I have members.
I've also noticed that I saw Elfen on when I was watching my bot's screen after I'd signed off- maybe a large part of my problem is that since I'm working on a different time clock than most of the guild (I'm on the east coast), I don't see when people get on. This could be just all my fault.
Yeah, you guys should really try ES. I thought I'd never get in to the game again since I've already done everything the original has to offer, but man, ES is beautiful.
Erm, yeah, I play Ikariam daily, but that isn't a guild-supported game, unless I'm mistaken? And yeah, at one point I did play it almost 24/7, for about 5 years, actually, but life has been getting busier for me now that I'm getting close to my senior year. I did type something along the lines of "Ullion and I play daily together" or something to that effect, but that was some time ago- sorry for the confusion if that's what you're talking about. I am on D2 right now, though... But, as I've said, I don't think I'm active enough on it to merit any sort of promotion.
Edit--
Apparently, the ladder is reseting on the 17th. I think that's a good time for me to start playing again. The good thing about taking long breaks is it makes you get re-addicted again.
Magistrate amd NercroNergal have both been issued Promotions due to their in game activity as well as forum activity. As they both play almost daily it seems.
Ah, actually, I haven't been active on D2 in almost 2 months, so I'm going to have to humbly ask for a demotion. Finals, preparing for my SAT, end of the year computer projects, practicing for a piano recital, and cramming as much web lingo into my head as humanly possible so I can teach it next year has been consuming my time lately, and likely will continue to do so. Sorry, I'm not responsible for a promotion yet, I don't think

You're being sarcastic, right?
Oh well, I'll just try again next year

Where's that list of which Decurion you're under?
