Now, here is what I don't get, why do people expect diablo to have endgame like an mmo? I thought diablo was like any other rpg game where you play finish the story and that's it, and you can return whenever to play again. tbh, I am surprised that blizzard is releasing "endgame" and pvp. usually companies will charge you for such DLC.
Not end game "like an MMO", but enough to keep players interested. Blizz wouldn't describe this game as "finish the story and that's it, and you can return whenever to play again" as you do. They have said many times that they expect this game to have longevity, and so do its players.
