His goal Against Germany is complete shit, bounced off the ground and everything.
Give the same pass to any Spanish player and he would've pussied out, made a billion passes and end up losing the ball. I'd also like to remind you about your own post about the many variables that affect a free kick making them difficult. Imagine how many more you'd have to consider in that play.
Yeah, Muslera had a bad game. I think he was a bit down for the 3 goals that Holand scored, but those were impossibe to stop for him, the 3 of them hitting the post before going in.
Forlan's goal was amazing. And the last kick hitting the post was bordeline cruel.
I like how the never gave up, they played until the last second and Suares managed to draw a (doubtful) foul on him that could've tied the game. They also almost tied against Holland too, even when we were down by 2 goals.
They performed a tomography on him (or something of the sort) and he didn't have damage on his knee bones (don't know the terms in english) or his ligaments. Still, he is sore and in recovery and we don't know if he's gonna be able to play. Same for Godin, he is recovering. Lodiero aparently broke a foot bone in the match against Ghana and continued playing, but he won't play neither of the two matches. Fucile is out for 2 yellow cards, and Suares for the red card. I guess Tabares will put Palito Pereira back, Abreu from the start, maybe Scotty too. I don't know, we have many players unable to play in one of the hardest matches.
About Lugano, if Tabares took him out it had to hurt really bad. He's a beast.
Again, to Don: Well yeah, but we played against South Korea because we ended first in the group, otherwise it was Argentina. We had to work to make the "8th finals" easy. And Ghana wasn't impossible to beat, but I think it was one of the best of Africa, maybe after CIV.
Still, you can't say Group A was easy. We played against the locals (I agree, they are not that good, but they were still locals), the vicechampion of the last WC, and Mexico, which isn't a bad team; and somehow we managed to end up first.
Take Argentina for example (sorry for criticising the same team, but it's the perfect example). They gave them the group in a silver platter (South Korea, Greece and Nigeria), the match against Mexico too (Teves goal in offside, which really demotivated Mexico; and Osorio's mistake, pretty much giving the ball to Higuain), and when they face a real team they lose 4-0.
I agree we haven't faced a strong team yet, but we are not a strong team ourselves. I repeat, we were the last to classify. And I can assure you that if we do lose against Holland, it won't be by a 4-goal difference.
PS: Maybe he's entertaining for an outsider, but he is a cock to us; thus, everyone hates him.
PS2: I use parentheses too much.
To Eru: I think they disqualified him for 1 game, like a normal red card. He can play the final/3rd place match. I don't get why many people say it's cheating. It's strategy, it was that or losing, and he got penalized. Fouling the last player is almost the same, and nobody calls that cheating. It's just unusual to see. He shouldn't be over-penalized. Yes, I know I'm biased.
To Don: I agree it's unlikely. Still, very few people expected the team to get this far. Being 1st in the group was already enough, yet they kept surprising us and giving us reasons to celebrate. Especially since we where the last country to classify. You should have seen how the whole country was celebrating yesterday, it was amazing. And, even if we lose against Holland, we still get to play the 3rd place match.
PLUS, Argentina is out. They played good football and some players deserved to get through, but the fact that Maradona is out too outweights all that. Sush a disgusting human being. He was asked what did he think about the handball of Suarez and the fact that Uruguay was in the semifinals, and he answered something like "What? Uruguay? Are they even on the World Cup?". Everybody hates him, even most Argentinans... at least those not from Buenos Aires
To Meph: I hope not, but that's probable. Amazing animation of the old sig BTW. Almost awesome enough for you.
Edit: Fuck, that match was exciting!!! Even my little sis had her eyes glued to the TV. Unbelievable!! And Muslera!!! 2 penalties in a row!! I'm so glad I'm Uruguayan today!
Yeah, I know that. Still, you can't say Suarez and Forlan are bad. They both scored great goals. I just hope they are focused, concentration plays a great role in this team. And I think Holland will take the game against us/Ghana for granted too, and that's not gonna be good for them.
But we still have to beat Ghana. I'm off to watch the game.
Surprises are highly unlikely at this stage because when you have a focused Brazilian, Dutch (...)
They didn't seem very focused on today's match. I know they were 2 big teams playing against eachother, but they started fouling from the very start. And the ref didn't do much to stop it.
Holland's defense was not good at all, I say we have a chance. If we beat Ghana, that is.

The ball tends to go in a lot though, however unstylish his shooting is.

Me+several other guys on here+FIFA
Lol@you thinking you know more about football that whoever's the judge of that award
You have to admit that of the last 4 games, ours were by far the best 2. The real Final was played yesterday.
Forlan's goal was amazing. And the last kick hitting the post was bordeline cruel.

LOL, just got the picture.

We are top-4 and the obese drug-addict is out. Magnificent.
Yes they were!! And the fact that it was totally legal makes it even better!! Their loss for missing the first penalty.
