Ummmmmmm yeh sorry wtf is with the cat... I feel my nerd-rage processors starting to kick into gear... /rage
Wtf is with those people? I mean, really... wtf
Regardless of the fact that yes, he was an idiot for attempting to help the woman, I mean, really, you just don't do it.
And some of the other examples were even more stupid. ESPECIALLY the security guards just standing around...
I am shocked by human nature sometimes.
EDIT: I don't think that there is such a thing as a bystander effect. What happened there may have happened to anyone. The only person who was truly responsible was the person who lifted the body. Someone should have called 911 for the 71 y.o., it doesn't matter if 50 people call 911... the security i think the problem there is the group of teenagers. I'm not sure that they were confident their ability to take all of them. And the psych ward is possibly the stupidest and saddest of the lot. I mean really, dieing in what is in affect a hospital...........
EDIT2: Also I googled the 'bystander effect' and wikipedia says "This has never been conclusively proven beyond the basic research and cases given here (with some research refuting the effect for certain situations, such as emergency services reporting)"
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"A lot of fellows nowadays have a B.A., M.D., or Ph.D. Unfortunately, they don't have a J.O.B."
