I like the guide dude, don't really know what caused you to right it though. Did some new guy just piss you off to the point where you just shouted "Thats fucking it! I'm making a guide." Lol but anyway it was fun to read.
That about summed it all up. I feel that this really is common sense but unfortunately a lot of people lack that certain skill so I decided to just get it over with since no one will ever make one.
If you are more of a quite and shy person, then spamming will start to feel weird after awhile. Or if you are loud and social then there are also several people, and cows, who will probably like you more if you post a lot(I'm just guessing, I have no idea what cows like, besides grass).
Just find your niche, do what feels right to you, and don't worry about trying to make everybody like you.
Lol. Um this isn't Leadership class in middle school. No one gives a shit who you are. Act how everyone wants you to be.
Indeed I am aiming for politeness is better that being a douche bag. Yet a lot of people lack what I call "common sense" or "logic" so I like to write it out for them Jk
I try to use personal experiences and also a lot of observations I made through a lot of forums that I've been part of. Like I said, I was almost permabanned
So lately, I have been thinking on why people like certain people on this site. So I have decided to put up a a guide and some helpful advice for newbies entering this site so they can get a good reputation and get posting.
Spelling and Grammar
Even though people here can resort to what I call "texting language", I would highly recommend that an individual would use correct spelling and grammar. My old History teacher once said after a kid asked whether or not spelling counted on a test, "No, but it will just make you look like an idiot." No one likes idiots unless we know you're kidding. So as a newbie, you want to get a reputation as being a smarter person.
No Arguments
Do NOT, under ANY circumstances, get into any argument for at least 2 months or at least until you get around 200-300 posts. This is includes heated debates, flame wars, or even arguments about music. People don't like those who look for the first opportunity to fight. I made this terrible mistake and I had to beg on my knees to get un-permabanned.
Stay Quiet
Only a select few people can easily make friends, and even less over the internet. So my personal advice for you is to be a quiet poster, who will post here and there and not a big deal out of everything. You know Small Man Syndrome? That's what you DON'T want to act like. Maybe perhaps when you are known here you can start going "WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I LOVE MY LIFE!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!" but for now, just calm down
Respect
I find it quite astonishing how many people here disrespect the moderators and members of this site without reason to do so. And even if they do have a reason, don't start trolling and cursing just because your post was deleted or someone disagrees with your idea. If you are a person who uses "fuck" and "shit" a lot try to lower the usage of those words. No one likes a internet gangster so it will be an automatic minus to your reputation.
I shall probably add more to this, but I hope you enjoyed this guide
Edit: On my description, I wrote "an good" so can someone fix that? I don't want to be a hypocrite
