Suddenly a frame of time had been reversed, and the consumption of Etapas had been undone and he now stood at the side of this large, gluttonous demon. "Well you sure have an appetite, eh?" he says to the large mofo.

After speaking his few words to the cloaked savoir, Etapas had passed out from complete exhaustion. It seemed like only moments later, but he soon awoke in the middle of the night, in an unknown nomadic camp. His torn muscles had only recovered about 25%, so he was able to walk around at a slow pace and talk now. However, it appeared that everyone else had been deep asleep by this point; enjoying any bit of peace they can get in this hell-dominated place.
Etapas had quickly dressed himself, and threw on his black cloak and vanished from the small outpost. He had managed to wander off to a closeby forest. Laying himself down at the base of the nearest tree, he stared up at the sky and began to ponder. First, the ominous voice in his head. What could it be? The very thought of it's voice had still given Etapas the chills. There was something different as well, like... a new found confidence in himself. Was it because of his new power? Which brought him to point number two: what exactly did he do during that fight? Not to mention; how did it manifest in him? Etapas, the only failure in the history of the Velnias Indas. The one who could not wield any power of any aspect of the universe? Etapas, the son of the two most unique clan members ever, and the brother to the greatest prodigy of his clan. The blood flew through his very veins, but nothing ever happened. Was he not worthy of any powers?
I am the reason why you never had any powers. I am also the reason they are manifesting now. Unlike any demon in the entire history of the Velnias Indas - I chose my own fate. I refused to share my abilities with you until you were ready. For my powers are too great for any damned mortal to wield. Your sister, Erdeve, was lucky to gain the power she had. The demon inside her had no effect on her, despite the great power it wielded.
Etapas shuddered again as the raspy, horrifying voice had spoke. He managed to respond quickly though, "So it was you! You are the demon inside of me? But how can this be? I thougt all demons born within us had to give your powers to us containers!"
The dark voice chuckled for a moment, then answered the child's inquiry: I have a conciousness and a stronger will in me then any others, I suppose. All the other members in your clan would never have known they contained demons within them if it were not for your stories, lores and warnings. For they were ever-dorment inside all of you mortals. I refused to follow along! For no mortal should never be allowed to freely effect time itself!
At that exact moment, Etapas chocked on air, and struggled to speak. "Power... over time itself? Me? I have been gifted with such a power? But then, even my dear sister's ability doesn't even compare!" Etapas had barely managed to avoid shouting out loud. It was becoming clear now, during the fight earlier - this demon had slowed time down dramatically around him, to allow Etapas to travel beyond imaginable speeds.
"Yes, and it doesn't even stop there. For time can't only be slowed. It can be sped up, or even stopped to a halt. Of course, simply slowing time down has it's consequences, as you know well now. Your body is currently unable to handle how fast you can move, and so as soon as you return your body to reality's standard time frame, your body will feel the burden of everything you had done in such a short moment. Be thankful, for I had enciuraged your growth as a child, and made sure you had the reflexes, speed and quickness to handle this more than anyone else you ever knew. For without the small boost you got beforehand, you would most likely be dead by now. Since you have grown now - I will now more freely lend you some of my powers, boy.
"Deal? What exactly is it you want from me? You know our lives are forever entangled. So you know freedom is far out of the question, demon!"
The demon chuckled with amusement. I am well aware of how I am bound to you. But I still have my own will, and am more capable of witholding my powers from you too! Thus, I shall grant you the ability you had during that fight. The ability you had used was a small demonstration of what you could do. I had given you my eyes, child - The Eyes of Kobolox. You can now freely use this ability so long as you make me this promise: To bring death to as many as you are capable of, whether it be a demon, human, angel, or goatmen - for I do not care. And be sure to make their death as graceful and as beautiful as possible - for I do not wish to be associated with anything that is so lowly and dispicable such as a bruteful murder!
Those last few words resounded in Etapas' head as the demonic voice had finally vanished. Snapping back to reality, Etapas noticed the sun breaking through the far-away horizon and realized he should head back to camp. The very deal seemed horribly inhumane... but what could he expect from a demon, and a devious one at that? Was this 'Kobolox' serious about wanting Etapas to kill everyone? Etapas shook the thought off, Surely not! He must simply want me to kill often. That won't be hard though - seeing as how this rebel group seems to be slaying every enemy demon they come across. Maybe he will accept the deal afterall. An evil, malicious smirk crossed Etapas' face as he slipped past the guard back into the camp.
Walking back to where he had awoken only a few hours before, he noticed the cloaked savoir talking to an officer of sorts. After the soldier had left the cloaked man, Etapas approached him, and asked in a monotone voice, "Yo, whats up boss?"

The battle had finally come to a close, and the revolt on the demon guards was successful. Etapas, fell to the ground as his body had been pushed far beyond it's limits. It felt like he was traveling normally the entire fight, but he was traveling beyond human - no, beyond the speed of anything living. All his muscles were torn and he could no longer stand, let alone approach the apparent leader of these rebels. Instead he merely gave a grim smile and let out a small chant;
"We'll not be victims - nay,
There will be no victims of which to speak.
And only then, will we be free.
And up will rise the meek".
He hoped the others had heard him, and acknowledged that he would join their rebellious group. For he had a purpose - to kill every enemy demon he came across until he finds out the condition of his sister. He was well aware of her sacrifice, and the fact that she was likely dead, along with the rest of their clan. But he felt as if hope still existed, and with his new-found powers, he would do what he could to find anything out, no matter how insignificant it may be.

Etapas stood still, watching the oncoming hordes of demons and his strange allies fighting them back... or at least attempting to. Everything around him seemed to be moving at a slow pace, even his own body felt like it was stuck in slow motion. He noticed the monk assisting the angel who had been brutally maimed by a charging disfigured. Closing his eyes, and using all of his might - Etapas began to move, and at a normal in his own perception. However, everyone and everything still moved at a slower pace than what must he true reality was.
After arriving to the side of the aiding monk, Etapas said lowly, "Thank you for our rescue. I am forever in your debt, sir. If you ever need me anywhere, do not hesitate to ask".As he finished talking, 2 more disfigured had appeared. Taking a deep breath, he called to his blades once again and charged towards them. Neither of the ugly beasts had time to react to Etapas' new found speed, and both of their heads had been cleanly sliced off by the white blade - Irus. After stopping his quick assault, he added in his prayer, "May you die with grace mercy".
Only a mere moment after slaying the two figures, Etapas' perception of everything around him returned to normal and at what seemed to be a normal pace. The complete and unaccustomed change in pace took a hard toll on the young boy, and he fell on one knee and withdrew both blades to catch his breath. He took his hood off, letting is dark hair flow free, and feel the wind blow against his face. The air he breathed was fouled with the stench of death and decay, but his mind was elsewhere. Why did everything appear slow? And what is that horrifying voice? Is this 'voice' the cause for a change? Did he summon these rescuers to aid in our escape? Either way, I owe them, and I need to find out what is going on with me. Most of all, I need to rest. My body is sore and tense - was I really moving so fast as to have such a huge toll being taken on my very body? Even my mind feels exhausted.
Without saying a word, he shifted slowly made his way back to the monk and knelt beside him and the wounded angel. He merely stood still, awaiting for orders. Until then, he would catch his breath, and search for answers.

Etapas, with his facial features hidden by his hood, surveyed the other captives. A few angels, goatmen and even a Hell Cat. It seemed like this group of demons were capable - to manage to ensanre so many different species. Yes, the demons, he thought in detest. The very demons that had wiped out his entire clan, and most of all - his sister. A small tear flowed down his face. He murmured to himself; "I'm sorry sister. I wish I could have helped...now everyone is gone, and I'm sure to follow".
Not yet, young one, a dark, raspy voice said. The voice seemed to shake his very soul - and made him shudder with unexplainable fear. You will be free in mere seconds. As soon as the voice had dissapeared, Etapas heard several bottles breaking outside, and a commotion ongoing outside. After only a few seconds, the cage was torn apart - and as the voice promised, freedom had shone itself. But, who had freed him? And who was speaking to him? Maybe his saviors had answers. As soon as the coast had looked clear, Etapas had jumped from out of the last vestiges of the cage, and joined a group of what had looked like a group of mercenaries and a monk. Demons had begun to flow from the forest in an ambush, and Etapas knew he had to fight - and prove his worth, or what little he had.
Who said you were nothing? Go, and fight young one! You are more than you think, the dark voice had said once again. Etapas whispered, "Tamsa, Irus - let us fight!" as two blades appeared from his sleeves - one made of the darkest obsidian and the other as bright and pure as diamond. He charged at the closest demon to him, who wielded one large sword and had heavy armour covering his entire body. Etapas stepped forward, and eyed the demon - who seemed to be moving slowly. Maybe it is just the heavy armour and sword? he asked himself. Etapas had jumped up, and noticed a small opening in the demon's armour, and thrust his dark blade, Tamsa. The demon had howled and back off a bit. Before the demon had a chance to recuperate; however, Etapas had lunged forward again, this time swinging with his lighter blade, he shouted "May your death be quick and filled with grace!" as Irus cleanly sliced off the defiled head of his enemy.
With ever growing confidence in himself, Etapas now looked around - only to see even more enemies close in on him. Do not fear, child. Time is on your side.
ooc: hmmm, black can not be seen with this skin. Frack, =/
