I can't wait to start my evil character. So many people I have to pay a visit....
Sadly there's so many people who are "un-killable".
I might be one of the few who don't want to deal with the crap of re-doing every quest they've done. Once I hit 50 (I'm almost 49 now) I'll make a backup save file, then go into the appearance editor with the console. Ta da! New-yet-old character. Then I just move my skills around, yadda yadda, and I can try life from a different angle.
I've got the feeling nothing will be as much fun as sneak/archery. Can't beat the uber-convenience of being a master of bending time to your will (aka slow time by 50% while zooming my bow).
Yeah Vampires get like +25% to sneak, would be really useful.
I tried it with my Assassin and the bonuses are really good... but the whole vampire gameplay is just awefull. Everytime you get a new lvl of your vampirism you get new spells... if you favorite those spells and drink blood the spells vanish. So every ingame day you have to favorite your spells again <_< The whole no mana/hp/stamina reggen during the day doesnt help the gameplay either... you cant run during the day (because you drain you stamina fast and it doesnt reggen again...) so traveling becomes a pain in the ass.
Could just go with Lycanthropy, and enjoy 100% disease immunity. Even if you don't ever transform, perma-disease immune is pretty sweet.
I did that with my first Char... and I wasnt impressed at all with the Lycanthropy <_< It felt weaker than my normal DW/Heavy Armor Setup and its just inconvenient gameplay wise. You cant loot, you cant open doors(?) etc. Also the Companions Quest is really lackluster compared to the Thieves Guild Quest. Even the Mages Quest seems more intresting and I only did the first 2 Parts with my Warrior (because I needed access to the Ruins for Forbidden Legend <_<). Overall if you dont plan on using the Werewolf form because of RP or whatever reasons its not worth it. Also 100% Disease Resist isnt really that good... there are only extremly few diseases and you can allways heal them at a random shrine <_<.
Multiple points to be made here. I also am not impressed with Lycanthropy. I'm a heavy armor wearing archer/sneak, and there is no reason to transform whatsoever. I turn from a Khajiit shooting .50 cal rounds (metaphorically) to a werewolf that; deals less damage, is stuck in 3rd person view (which I hate while fighting), unable to loot, unable to open anything, etc. There's only 1 nice part of transformation in my opinion. If I get attacked by something like a bear or dragon while traveling between locations, and there's no map-node nearby after fighting, I'll transform if I can't find my horse. Transformation form definitely is fast, maybe faster than your horse (though you go through stamina, albeit relatively slowly).
I'm with you about the bland-by-comparison chain of quests for the Companions. They're essentially Skyrim's version of the Fighters Guild but they don't measure up to the Mage's College or the Thieve's Guild. Quite sad indeed.
If you don't intend on every using Lycanthropy though, I don't see any reason NOT to have it (unless you MUST stay your race for RP, or rather be a vampire). 100% disease resist is exactly how it sounds, a measure of convenience. Even if there are only a few diseases what does it hurt to automatically be able to resist them all?

Check your abilities you should have like a 3 minute invisibility for stage 4. Or there is always the possibility of bandits.
^This. Bandits are everywhere, just sneak around at night (and why not, while invisible) and feed one one as he sleeps. The of course cleanse them of their bad habits and OBLITERATE THEM FROM THE FACE OF SKYRIM!!!!!!!!!!
I'm curious. Does anyone know why when I talk to some people they say things like "I don't like talking to someone who holds their honor so cheaply"? I remember in Oblivion if you got ~any~ infamy after completing the Knights of the Nine expansion main-quest chain (i.e. getting all of the Crusader items and whatnot) that they would talk kinda similar.
Also, is their any place where I can check my Infamy & Fame? I don't see it with the rest of the in-game info.
I think they just talk about your last bigger Quest.
Ah okay, thanks. Wasn't sure if I had some infamy or something, 'cause I hated having it in Oblivion. I liked being all "famous & honorable" etc.

I didnt like Lydia much. She felt like a hoe the way she was given to me. Not that i like to sacrifice hoes in general tho.
And yeah i strapped her tightly to the altar, if you know what i mean
She protects me with her life constantly, shoots arrows that let me know there's an enemy behind me (when I'm not completely paying attention or already pre-occupied) and with the gear I give her she whoops some serious ass!
Thanks for the reply. I thought of the same and that COULD be the reason, but i doubt it since she is just another companion you can have. Anyways i dont have any saves just before i sacrificed her, so hopefully it will get fixed in a patch or something. What reward am i missing out on from the quest line?...
No problem, all you're missing out on is a "Daedric Artifact" called Ebony Mail. Here's all the information about it; http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Ebony_Mail Daedric armor (and probably Dragonscale/Dragonplate) is better than it after you use a Grand Soulstone to put whatever enchant you like. That's my opinion though!
Actually, what I meant was, it worked with a different weapon other than the dagger. I could've used something else, and I think it would still work.
Mind if I ask you this, who did you sacrifice? Was it Lydia or someone else?
No, it wasn't Lydia, I hired some random Mercenary from Riften, I can't remember his name though, since he didn't last long.
Guys, did you make sure the companion is strapped to the sacrificial altar?
Haha glad to see someone other than me picked up a temporary follower in order to sacrifice them. Lydia means the world (of Tamriel lol) to me, and I always make sure she's alright. I'd marry her if I could, but everyone says that it wont work for various reason. Oh well, she'll still follow me until the end!
I did not get the next step no. She just keeps repeating the same words. And i killed the sacrifice (Lydia) with the dagger. I googled it and another dude got the same bug aswell. Just sucks that only a few get the bug, but most dont. Maybe that way it wont be fixed either.
Maybe (this is a hunch) the reason it bugged is because you tried to sacrifice Lydia? I killed the manly chick who you fistfight with, in the back of The Bannered Mare (Whiterun) with the sacrificial dagger & had no problems. Dauroth killed ~someone~ without the dagger and had no problems, but maybe it wasn't Lydia. I'm not sure, just trying to guess at the problem at the moment.
I killed one dragon and looted the body but it wouldn't do the shiny "gimme ma soul" effect. Is this a bug or do some dragons not give a soul? it's like my 7th and hasn't happened before.
I've killed maybe 20 dragons total so far, but 3 didn't give me their soul. Not sure why, but it doesn't seem like a big deal to me. I've got maybe 10 souls sitting there collecting dust with no Thu'um's to spend them on.
I've noticed you need to loot them to get the soul. Doesn't seem to apply to all of them though, not sure why.
I loot every dragon I kill, and still haven't gotten maybe 3 souls. Not a big deal though, the way I figure it is there's an unlimited number of dragons (since they can spawn/respawn) and a limited number of Thu'um's. I'll get 'em one way or another.
Anyone done the quest Boethia's Calling? After i sacrifice someone she just keeps repeating herself when im gonna talk to her. Think its a bug...
Did you get the next step in the quest? She tells you to go kill her current champion, cause she's "tired of him". If you successfully sacrificed someone and she's NOT prompting you the next step, then it's bugged. Also, did you make sure to kill them with the sacrificial dagger?

Is there any way to craft arrows? At the forge you can only make armor and weapons. I havent done anything with the mills yet, im going to go find one and chack that now.
I'm pretty sure you can't make arrows, sadly. I wish it was an option of smithing, or maybe some fletcher option from another trainer? Anything would be better than having to check 3-4 different vendors so I can get a full (50-ish) supply of Glass Arrows.
So I am fairly new t the elder scrolls and I have few questions. First, I play on the ps3 I know how to favorite things but can I assign like a hotswap to I'm at work right now and don't have the book to see in there. Second, sleeping Is there any reason to do it? If so how long is just enough? Third, I want to go see the greybeards but that damn frost troll kicks my ass any tips/tricks to kill it? And lastly is their a trader I can sell literally anything from my inventory? I've noticed that none of the traders will buy my dragon bones. Btw I am currently level 12. Any info/help would greatly help I am really enjoying the game so far!
Lots of questions you have here, so I'll just answer a few. As far as vendors go, most only want to buy things similar to what they sell. Blacksmith people will buy ingots, armor, and weapons. Potion dealers want to buy ingredients, food, and potions. There are General Goods vendors however, that will literally buy any type of item (not-stolen) that you would like to sell. FYI you might not want to sell your dragon bones/dragon scales, because they're used to smith Dragon Armor. Hope this info was helpful.

Thanks for reinforcing what I already know; "Kill all Argonians on sight".
