they will have a say in everything, because its basically their movie. and legendary is a good studio, surely they will respect blizzard enough to keep them as good friends....no better friend than blizzard. imagine you see in every homepage blizzard owns "Watch Legendary Picture's new film ____!!!"
its the best thing that can happy to anyone. imagine all the people around the world that would see that, and act upon it!
yes, legendary pictures will maintain that high quality standard they already have (300) and with Blizzard's high standards, there will be a movie made that will rival LOTR, which is the best movies of all their genre and aspects (acting, production, quality, graphics, etc).
hey i was just watching g4 and it was live and the guy said that the movie with legendary pictures was not about diablo but about warcraft....
*sigh* we know. the WoW movie has been announced for some time now, but a while ago legendary pictures (who is also making WoW movie) accidentally posted Diablo in their "In Developement" list. 24 hours after it was spotted and spread around the internet, it was taken off.
i doubt it was that, because it is a rumor and they are in communication with blizzard. it was most probably one of these two:
modifications on the site, they are renovating their site as they tell with the 2.0 thing. someone might have been working on the backup site and not noticed that the peice was still available to be viewed by site visitors.
it was planned, blizzard asked them to put it up for a bit to start interest again, it would be better for blizzard if everyone stayed interested so that the world can explode with excitement if indeed they did announce Diablo III.
yea, and it might have something to do with the 2.0 thing their talking about. as soon as that new version of whatever it is their doing, whether it be reformatting the website or something else, comes out, we will be able to investigate further about what exactly it is they are planning.
i wouldnt be suprised, they havent reset ladder in a few years, and they continue to ignore diablo 2.
the resets or the ladder happens when all ladder realms have at least 1 at 99. for example:
99 barbarian on softcore
99 sorc on softcore
and so on, but also:
99 barb on Hardcore
and so on
all slots need to have at least one lvl 99 character in each category. hopefully HC can finish their quota soon, they still need to lvl a couple characters.
well, this studio did bring us 300 which has proven to be among the most manly movie in the past 2 years. and since blizzard delivers quality, im sure they will not let Legendary make a crappy film.
the movie is confirmed, its listed in the developement section of Legendary Pictures' website. what more could you want?
i think that blizzard will have quality control in this. they strive for and achieve perfection with every single one of their games, i dont see how they would want to risk their good reputation by green lighting a crappy product. if there is a movie to be made with blizzard's name on it (they are partnered with the Studio, they didnt just sell rights), then im more than sure we will recieve more than our moneys worth.
just because a good studio is making it doesnt mean the movie will be, but usually thats the case
300 was good because Frank Miller was an executive produceron it like he was on Sin City. If you get several Blizzard (diablo) guys possible working on it to make sure its true to the series it should be fine.
I dont want some uppidy Michael Bay director git taking liberties with one of my most favourite series of all time. stupid Michael Bay making Megatron a plane just because he didnt want transformers who change size in his movie, Megatron is a modified PPK, Damnit, thats what i grew up with, not any of the dragon/plane/tank/something else stupid thats not a gun, crap people have being pulling in recent years, bloody Transformers armada/Cybertron. i only watch the 80's-90's version now because its the best.
I wasnt that big of a fan of Superman Returns and Lady in The Water, although i did enjoy Beerfest, and i think Dark Knight and The Watchmen should be good.
well, they are teamed with blizzard. WoW is also in production by this studio, so i dont have much doubt that blizzard is working along with these guys to make sure we get a quality product. after all, when has blizzard disappointed? even when SC2 was announced, they still found a way to make us happy with the awesome trailer and ingame footage.
nothing like a shit movie to ruin a perfectly good series for you.
its being produced by Legendary Studios, this company produced great movies. Superman Returns, Lady in the Water (which i thought was great), and if that doesnt convince you, 300. its very promising.
OMG i just did some more research on that movie, and its true. they're making a diablo movie folks, and im pretty sure we get to see our big demon at blizzcon. w00t a victory for us.
its the best thing that can happy to anyone. imagine all the people around the world that would see that, and act upon it!

lol jk. diablo can be all CGI, sorta like dinosaurs from jurassic park.
