If you can't be fast, you won't get anywhere. Period. Even your average guy with skill will be fast.
I suck immensely at StarCraft. I can't complete many campaign mission because I like it slow, I like to not have to concentrate all over the place. Thus I end up cheating to death so I can play as I want to.
Its not like I'm not good at fast paced action games, but a game like SC I just can't play it like that.
Even in SC2, you'll need the speed, I'm sure. Its known as a fast paced RTS and that won't change. And SC is insane anyway. You would need a hell of a lot of practice to get good. Some people are good at it more naturally, but even then, practice is the only way.
