It's a cheap commercial move. I begin to disrespect a comppany that uses cheap commercial moves. I know it's a good thing for them to do from the business and money perspective, but it gives me the opportunity to despise them.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

Just proves the point that WC3 and WC2 have nothing in common and Blizzard is a fatass name switching company like the rest of them... *looks at Obsidian*
And the problem with that is what? Stay with the sinking ship or adapt, I prefer the second. Although of course we won't ever know if the ship was really sinking or not, but judging by what they've done now I'd say any other option couldn't have done any better.

Bastard! Warcraft 2 was freaking awsome! It's how I got into the Blizzard thing!
It was probably great, I just couldn't even experience it. I think I was like 7 or 8 when I played it for the first time. Needless to say I sucked, but it was quite entertaining.
WC3 however was the first RTS I completely finished, and more than once!

I hate warcraft. I never got into it. I had warcraft 2. It was terrible.
Shame on you!
In all seriousness, I'd ask you to try Warcraft 3. All of these old-time WC2 gamers will tell you how fantastic WC2 was, but I honestly don't see it myself. I never got into it myself besides messing around in the editor. WC3 however was wonderful.
Unless you played WC3 that is, and in that case, shame on you!

Well, I would have to dis-agree, since WoW is the most popular online game... ever
That depends on what you mean by popular? Most players? Been around the longest? Generates the most revenue? Largest social impact? Highest rating in rewiews?

I like DotA somewhat. It's fun for a while, but it's not that great. Although it is an amazing piece of work using the World Editor provided
