I am not sure what you are asking. Are you wondering what templates and pages would have to be set up in order to condense all relevant information about an item into a list? So that one line could display not only the recipe cost but also item data about the final item?
It should be possible to do, but to combine the data of both the target item and the recipe page would require a new template.
Also note that the Recipe pages you are talking about are actually data pages that have ended up in the wrong namespace. Eventually we'll move them, but for now they work as they are.
So what would have to be done is create a list template for this, possibly modify one of the current ones instead. That's actually it, that should be ebough in order to create lists similar to what appear on item lists such as Belt List.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

I have my demo of the formula list up on my user page on the wiki... and wouldn't mind you (Phrozen) or someone else taking a look at it as I am sure I forgot something due to my inexperience with the item list template and using it with recipes.. you can leave a reply on my talk page or under this forum post.
Just realized something... Blizzards Diablo page has like 241 formulas... (40 1h weapon enchants the demo list has 16 of them...) and at the moment my list does not have all of them on it.. Should I start adding all of them to the list even if there isn't a data space for that formula?
You mean adding them to the page so there are tons of ugly red links everywhere? I'll say yes, but without it there's no way to tell what is actually missing from the wiki without scanning through all recipes, and that's not very helpful for anyone. You are of course free to add any of those recipes to the Data namespace directly, and it's quite a simple procedure. Just look at an already existing data page, copy the layout and replace the differing variables (which is mostly just the name and description it would seem).

Does it matter if the Recipe lists are added onto their own template like page and then pulled from the template onto the respective craftsman's page?
...
Only thing is I'm trying to think of a reason that it be good to have a list of all the recipes stored on their own page be it that of a Template or a normal page.
From a visual standpoint no, but it's easier for editors to see what is actually on a page if it isn't "templatized" so to speak. I suspect you ask because of the way Affix Lists are handled for the D2 part of the wiki. These two instances are quite similar to each other, and I don't think there'd be much difference which solution was used for D2.
However, I expect the D3 data will change considerably as the game is patched and played, probably several times, and the editing upkeep of these pages will be larger. That means priority should be given to making editing easy, and so I think adding the recipe lists directly to the page would be preferable.

The list is further broken up in to sections like 1hand, 2hand, and etc.
The question I was posing was either
How in depth does it need to be for the blacksmith plans or the jewelers gem recipes
If depth is not that much of an issue then in what manner of catagorizing the groups should be utilized.
example being recipe 1 requires the blacksmith lvl to be 4 and recipe 2 requires a blacksmith lvl of 1.... these two recipes would be categorized into two separate sub-categories with a title above each.
Oh now I see what you're talking about. I was confused when you used the word categorization: in the wiki that word is used to refer to the method by which pages are automatically grouped and sorted (see Help:Categorization).
As for how to handle that specifically, I don't know. You could experiment and see what makes sense, and then we can iterate from there if needed. Try and see
ApocBot should also have updated the Mystic Recipes by now so it should be possible to incorporate them into the List Template.

If it needs to auto pull information from other pages which? the actual item info or the actual recipe info..

I'm not sure how auto pulling works

I have no idea how to customize the item list template to work with or display the things that would be needed

Yes it's pulled automatically from the Data namespace, but the templates handle all of that automatically. You should use [wiki]Template:Item List[/wiki] when listing items. Follow the syntax on that page.
In order for data pages to be able to be displayed as lists, they need to have been formatted for it. After checking it appears that formulas are currently ready for this, while plans are not. So the blacksmith lists will have to wait a little bit until we can get ApocBot to update them.

How in-depth does the the categorization of the recipes need to go?

armor, weapons

type of armor, type of weapon

level the recipe can be crafted

Adept, Apprentice, ect.

gem type(color), and lvl of quality of gems (ex. chipped or flawed)
I don't quite understand how the question relates to the lists. Can you elaborate?
Are all of the recipes for the blacksmith and jeweler added.. from a glance it looks as if recipes for the gems are missing is that due to the game still being beta and not enough information out?
All recipes and formulas should have their own pages already in the wiki, for instance [wiki]Formula: Enhance 2H Weapon - Superior Oracle[/wiki], and the categorization on these pages has already been taken care of.

Yes. Those lists contain data and format that has been manually added to that page, rather than pulling the available data from the Data: namespace.

That should have been lowered from four days to one day several weeks ago. Have you tried creating a page?
