There are no official statements on Diablo III's release date, details, or even it's production. Everything so far is rumors.
The only factual evidence we have of a possible Diablo III is Blizzard's job postings and numerous interviews with Blizzard employees, often resorting to that old saying, "We plan to return to the Diablo franchise sometime in the future". And as far as the facts we know, the game isn't even in production yet!
