he thinks its a good idea to get our own skill pics for each skill and to extract the animations for them
i know how to get the pics
but i have no idea how to get the animations
so what is next
Well the pictures are easy, just play the game and use print screen. Make sure you have good gamma setting through, we don't want the pictures to be too bright or too dim.
And we can't really get the animations I'm afraid, so scratch that.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

Well all pages aren't exactly done. Some assassin and druid skills have doubtful formatting, we're missing tab images for druid, assassin, barbarian, paladin and amazon, and descriptions are also lacking from many pages.
However I must say it was an impressive amount of articles that we created in the last days, and under all circumstances, I'd say it was a job well done

A lot of the information from it is heavily outdated. For instance, look at the rune list... It still mentions alternate rune names (Io/Po). We obviously don't have to worry about that. It's good for general-idea stuff though, I think.
And in either case, I always find printed guides to be far less optimal than player guides.
A printed guide may say that "Thorns is a devastating skill that makes monsters die right in front of you."
A player guide may say "Thorns sucks once you get to higher levels. Don't use it."
While the latter statement is obviously aimed at players playing past normal, the sentence actually shows a deeper analysis of the skill, since the writer also takes into account how the skill evolves with the skill. Besides, any skill basically works if the only goal is to get through Normal.
Well if no one else feels comfortable writing skill descriptions, I guess I'll have to go through most of them. Though I doubt I can finish over 50 pages today.

Yes. It's called creative writing. If you know how the skill works, write a description for it, preferably with a little analysis of how good it actually is and what it can be used for.
If you don't know how it works, leave it and someone else will write it.

And it seems all pages are done. HOWEVER, many druid and assassin skills are still lacking descriptions. That needs to be fixed before we can call this finished. But it's two days, it should be easy enough.

I seriously need an Ergonomic keyboard since my left wrist is killing me already from 1:36 hours of wiki work.
The key is to reduce copy&pasting as much as possible.
For example, when I enter data into the table, I usually copy the table rown into the page, but instead of cpying the values to their respective cells, I type out the numbers. It's much easier on the hands.
Also, if you're doing several skills in the same tree, fill out some basic info, like class, active, tree etc., as well as the navbox templates, and then copy that page into the next in preparation. That way you won't have to copy that over from scrath once you're done with one skill and about to start the next.

Teeth and this is what I'm talking about, the image to the right.

Seems to work fine
And don't worry Seth. I'm sure someone else can be bugged into doing this. Hmm...
