I'm running on a 1024 by 768 resolution, so it's probably just my resolution that is causing the problems.
And yeah, good point with the colouring. And about the arreat summit, I like how they do it. It's really easy on the eyes, and the resolution problems wouldn't be encountered with that type of template.
They also handle the colouring well, normal specs in white, magical specs in blue, and specs added by set bonuses in green.
Dunno how you could do the colouring, might come down to individually colouring the lines. I could do this for you, and come to think of it, I've really gotta start contributing to the wiki, anything you need some help with ? (Besides feedback, of course :P)

"One in every 10 million people can potentially have a headache from this pill." God forbid she is the 0.000000001% of having a headache.
Only complaints I have is that the damage/defence area is somewhat awkward to read, i dunno if it is my computer causing this or if it's the wiki, but it appears like
18 to
42 (30
avg)
Other complaint is the magical properties section, it gets a tad confusing with all of the text. Perhaps have every other property a different shade ?
For example:
20% Faster Cast Rate
+77 To Mana
+57 To Life
+10 To Energy
+1-2 To Lightning
Mastery (Sorceress Only)
(varies)
+1-2 To Fire Mastery
(Sorceress Only)
(varies)
+1-2 To Cold Mastery
(Sorceress Only)
(varies)
+1 To Sorceress Skill
Levels (2 Items)
-15% To Enemy Fire Resistance
(3 Items)
-15% To Enemy Lightning Resistance (4
Items)
+15% To Cold Skills
Damage (Complete Set)
That is how it appears on my page, while it displays all of the information (and also has minimal spacing), it could be easier for people to tell individual properties apart if you changed shades.
20% Faster Cast Rate +77 To Mana +57 To Life +10 To Energy +1-2 To Lightning Mastery (Sorceress Only) (varies) +1-2 To Fire Mastery (Sorceress Only) (varies) +1-2 To Cold Mastery (Sorceress Only) (varies) +1 To Sorceress Skill Levels (2 Items) -15% To Enemy Fire Resistance (3 Items) -15% To Enemy Lightning Resistance (4 Items) +15% To Cold Skills Damage (Complete Set)
Like that, while it isn't the biggest issue out there, it may just be more aesthetically pleasing to some users, as well as adding a bit more ease of use. Hope this feedback helps.
edit: Just realized I didn't say what I liked :/. The overall format of the template is great, it's very easy to see where one part of the item starts and finished, and by this I mean "stats" and "magical properties". It's basically impossible to mix them up with the current format. I also like how they're side by side, it makes comparison easier, and allows you to quickly view all of them at once, instead of having to scroll downwards, then back up to read the next item, and so on.
editedit: JESUS, I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE THE SET BONUSES SECTION. Ugh, I'm really dropping the ball today. AAAnywho, basically the same applies to this section that applied to the magical properties section, perhaps consider adding in the shade changing to make individual properties easier to tell apart, as well as to make it prettier :D.
Sorry for the massive post, just had to get my thoughts down :/.
