Is there going to be a link on the main page for the Diablo II Monster section? I saw someone started to add monsters individually, and not in groups! There are a lot of monsters in game, I think it would be easier for everyone to place them in groups, or Acts!
The approach we have on the main page right now cannot last forever, it needs to be restructured. Exacly how is unknown at this time.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.

What program have you used? And from what directory have you extracted them? I have the MPQ reader, I just don't know where to look! Help please...!
I'm going to create a guide here in the forum for how to structure the monster articles. It's all coming up, otherwise I'd have to create all pages myself, and that's just way too much work

Oh, and by the way, if we have all the Megademon (for an example) info on one page, do we want Balrog, Pit lord and Venom Lord to redirect to it?

Me thinks it is wonderful! Makes me jealous I don't have all the monster files lol. I can get started on the articles later, but where did you find the other gifs?
I extracted the other gifs from the game files directly

Methinks 'tis good. Only thing I would suggest is that the bolded captions indicating resistances and such should be divided by more lines or something- bolding doesn't seem, to me, to be very effective for some reason, it gets lost a bit in the long collumns of text.
I was thinking the same. I was also thinking of removing the red border, it looks out of place.

You know what would be kind of cool? Really just excessive, but I figured if we want ours to be the most all-inclusive Wiki... Include all the sound files, even for monsters
Kidding. Not worth it.
Although then we have the technical problem of uploading the sound files, since the wiki only accepts images

That format for monsters is huge- is there going to be data for every attribute in there for each monster?
Yes there is. And yes it will
UPDATE!
The first monster article has been created. Feedback appreciated!

I will try to get a GIF animator or something! I once had it and it's a pretty easy tool! I think I could extract every frame from let's say Zombie, and use Photoshop to change it's color to look like a Ghoul or a Drowned Carcass! But I doubt this will look convincing! We should contact Anakyn, he's good with extracting files from the game! Although I haven't seen him around lately... Is he still on the forums?
Take it easy fellas. I know how to do it, I can extract whichever file we need.
I'll create a full-scale article later today so you can see what it will really look like.

Also, excellent rune pages! I didn't know you finished them.
Yeah the rune pages are fixed. The individual runeword pages still need to be shaped up however, and possibly a compilation page which, similar to Ferr3t's thread, sorts runewords based after Weapon/Torso/Shielf/Helm.

It has conditional columns, so if we add an article on Zombies, it will expand to include all 5 species of zombies.
It's a lot of info to add however if it is to be manually copied over from Arreat Summit, so before you all go haywire with this mastodont task, I may soon have an automatic solution, which will save us a lot of work.

You are talking about multiple uploads? If you can give me some directions, I can start with my own database on my desktop (same as Arreat basically), but depending on what's easier (taken from website or from computer) we can just do that.
Multiple uploads I have no idea how to do, we're still stuck with that.

As far as each .gif goes, is there a way to get them straight out of the game or a place we can find each and every one of them? We need someone to compile all of them and upload all of them with standard naming conventions. Or whoever is typing up the single article could just do it. Is there a way to do batch uploads?
Yeah there is, I figured out how to do it today. Documentation was scarce, but with some searching it turned out very good. I can write up a guide on it come to think of it, spares me of having to upload every monster and character from the game myself

Edit: Dauroth, I noticed you haven't touched your profile page. I would encourage you to fix it up.
Indeed. It definately looks better if you have a short page as an active user over there.

Yes.
Is there any other info you think we should add on the monster page? I can't think of anything other than location that there actually is to know.
UPDATE!
Ok, reformatted the template a bit. Thoughts?
