Nope. WDs are notoriously overpowered right now for PvP... as in... relatively broken. Let's just say I've been wrecked by any WD with 150K DPS using Haunt and Spirit Barrage, not to mention Spirit Walk and Hex. 1.1 million EHP goes down in less than 4 seconds. I've seen it, I've put my wizard gear on my paragon 0 WD and proceeded to wreck face as well. Mirror Image to break Haunt? Nope, since Haunt can jump from one target to another. DoT doesn't trigger Illusionist either, so the win goes to WDs there.

Sure, I can get lucky with a Storm Armor proc and perhaps one-shot any WD under 500K EHP, but the radius is small and it can be dodged. Oh yeah, Haunt has massive range and can shoot through/over walls.

Until they can implement some sort of "PvP-only" mechanics for the abilities, I'm not sure there's legitimacy for duels other than a vehicle for killing time.

WD at the end is a clear example. I went 2-4 against him despite him running about 200K DPS and meh EHP. I killed him twice (once by a lucky Storm Armor proc), which were the only two times he died the entire round, while he essentially ninjas around the map and one-shots everyone.

I had the wonderful luck of bumping into him in a pub game. Based on his stats, he has the highest 1v1 PvP score in the entire world based on DiabloProgress. I held my own against him for a while, but he basically outlasted me skmply because of his massive HP pool, mitigation and dodge chance.

I simply spam and rotate Slow Time, Teleport and Mirror Image while relying on timely Missle hits and Storm Armor procs.

Threw this together. I, uh, was a little over-geared, but the concept was there...

A personal favor if you may. Could you try and find some heavy EHP duels? I'm curious how they go.

I met my match against a 2 million unbuffed EHP, 325K unbuffed DPS demon hunter. I had my share of moments, but he had the upper hand most of the time.

Other than that, it's just monks being annoying with Wave of Light, but I cheesed often with Storm Armor. Hopefully I can pull a few clips out of the stream sometime in the coming days (or just go check it out in the video as is).

I'm going to be trying out some builds I believe will be great for dueling. I think this will benefit anyone looking to use a wizard or counter them. Also you'll get to see how everyone does in each class.
