We've recently become aware that playing Diablo III with the latest Catalyst 12.4 drivers for ATI cards may cause some visual artifacts for specific hardware configurations. This issue affects users of ATI Radeon HD 2400, 2600, 2900, 3400, 3600 and 4500 graphics cards under Windows Vista and Windows 7. ATI Radeon HD 4600, 4700, 4800, 5000, 6000 and 7000 series products are unaffected, as is Windows XP.
ATI is aware and investigating. Until a solution can be provided we recommend those affected use the Catalyst 12.3 drivers.
Finally a clarification. Have a 6000 series myself so I'm quite happy with this news.
Thank god it wasn't some dumb reason either. I have a 6950 might upgrade to a 7970 later so this is great news for me.

I have version 2012.0405.2205.37728 So I'm assuming this is the version you are talking about. do you know why they aren't compatible, or what happens when you try to run with this version?
Edit: I just looked at the source and I have to just ask WTF? Why on earth would they support an old driver, but not the latest and greatest? I think he must've said something wrong there's no way blizzard wouldn't support the latest driver, unless there's some major ass problems with it in which I hope AMD fixes before the release so I can play.
