I think one of the main Issues with the new MP system is going to be that people will have to use general or trade chat to make a PUG (if they don't want to solo) to farm uber bosses. Witch will cause some problems, due to the 8 minute enrage timer they all have AKA a DPS check.
We already see pub games with people having 9k dps as a Barb or 20k dps being a glass cannon DH (on Act 3+). And that's not like the rarest thing, it's pretty common actually.
I played a lot of public games already, and it pains to me seeing 3 nice guys' game being ruined by that one guy who has no idea what he's doing I don't mind people not having the best gear around, hell I'm one of those, but you gotta have a minimum if you wish to tackle content, or at least be useful in a way.
That's the only thing that puts me off the new system, it seems like the old days of wow, with gearscore, no doubt this will end up bringing out those elitist jerks even doh it will be needed to an extent to get the kill. But, people will still be asking for a silly amount of DPS to get an easy result.
I wish people were just more sociable, came to the forums, actually enjoyed hanging out with other players with similar schedules and mindsets. That's how I see a lot of my online gaming in the past (D2, CS, Age of Mythology/AoE2 - just dumb [really really dumb] fun), and is the one thing I feel a bit nostalgic at times. Sometimes it feels like today's gaming has a lot more egocentrism than we had in the past, and it's all about being good or proving something to someone.
Its a shame Blizzard couldn't make a matchmaking system based on your ilvl, DPS, or some other factor. Almost like creating a LFG tool. Would make it a lot easier.
They probably can, they just won't because it would split the very few people who actually play PuGs into at least 5-7 different subcategories. Plus, very few people already make use of the current feature, so it would be a waste of resources (from their perspective, not mine, I'd love it). And it would probably be very innefective (someone can be an insanely tanky Monk with Cyclone Strike and 10k dps which would be awesome for 3 dps-focused glass cannon DH's) at sorting people out
