But there is no encryption of the physical copy. So I can install right once I get home. And I might even be able to play on one of the other regions while waiting for the US servers to go up. But don't trust me on that last part. I am not even sure if you can play on another region early with the physical copy.
Hate to burst your bubble, but physical copies are encrypted by Blizzard as well. Otherwise the story would be public by now. People who got their SC2 copies earlier than release day can attest to that
I know nothing of these SC2 copies being sent earlier. So I can not attest to such a thing. But explain to me why Blizzard WOULD encrypt the physical copies when the majority will be bought after the servers go live? It makes more sense to leave them unencrypted so that you don't waste disc space. Plus you have to login to a realm server to play the game so the encryption would not do much. Obviously that is a different matter with the Digital because people would have time to hack it and play early.

I don't always burn. But when I do, I use hellfire.
Agreed. I live in the Central Time Zone so I will be going to the midnight release so I can play when servers go live. I will not wait two hours for the encryption to go out and then another two for installation.
You'll still have to download the same stuff as everyone else.
